"Not only are these porno scanners a gross violation of individual privacy," said boycott co-founder George Donnelly, "they're also a threat to the health of millions of passengers and ineffective as well. The goal of the demonstrations is to urge Americans to exercise their legal right to 'opt out' of the scan."
If you have to fly on November 24, We Won't Fly urges you to opt out of the new scanners for your own health and privacy. Say "I opt out!" Be prepared for delays and intimate TSA "patdowns." If you're not flying on November 24, We Won't Fly urges you to tell your friends, family and community members who are flying. Organizers of local meetups can list their events on our nationwide map at http://WeWontFly.com/opt-out-day.
As University of California scientists noted earlier this year, the airport scanners may pose a serious health risk. "Our overriding concern is the extent to which the safety of this scanning device has been adequately demonstrated. This can only be determined by a meeting of an impartial panel of experts that would include medical physicists and radiation biologists at which all of the available relevant data is reviewed," they said in a letter of concern.

I say call whatever airline that you normally use and tell them that you will find an alternate mode of transport to travel on until THEY put pressure on the gubmint to cease and desist with the nonsense.
I would not fly if they paid me.

oh the absolute horror !!!
they might touch my privy parts?
how about you people getting some perspective.
this is mass hysteria. Im sick and tired of it.. Drudge is a strange dude, seems to have a hang up in this area.. This whole thing was drudged up by him.
It’s a busy travel day - day before Thanksgiving.
I think it would be funny if passengers wear rubber gloves themselves too.
I hardly think it’s Drudge’s fault that people don’t want to be touched inappropriately. I don’t want to be touched by strangers period. I really don’t care if you don’t have a problem with it. That makes you the strange one, not other people.
Nobody cares if you are sick and tired of it.
Agreed.
To choose one day is to over-play this hand and by chance let those whos actions authored this intrusion into our liberty have opportunity to cause more harm and cast our cause in a bad light.
Where can I find the dose rate for these extra scanners? How much millirem does the body receive?
Exray scanners.
I wrote emails to four of the larger airlines that we normally use. Only Southwest replied and their reply was completely underwhelming (”it’s not our job to do security — that is up to the TSA”).
The carriers have been remarkably silent about this. Personally, I think that they stand to lose a LOT of money over this. I think it’s still a small slice of the population that even knows what is going on. As they come to find out, watch the air travel shrivel.
OPT OUT.
Say no to “Grope and Change”
I routinely fly from Norfolk VA to Japan, via Dulles, and back. I have been patted down only twice, that was in Norfolk, and have never seen a scanner anywhere.
THEY DO WHERE I FLY
Oh, please. I caught a show this morning where a woman was keeping too many animals in her home. The people inspecting her home were the Michigan Humane Society. The inspector was stressing the need to check out these things and the woman’s “mental status”. At first, I thought her coat said HHS and not MHS. Why did I not find it shocking that HHS could possibly be inspecting her home? Evidentally, they have already convinced you that they can proceed to the next step of intrusiveness.
Where do you draw the line? I believe that we should have stopped them at the shoe removal.
Those who want to kill us are willing to surgically implant bombs in their body, so a feel up is not going to stop them. This is all security theater.
If that guy last Christmas had been successful, they would have never known where the bomb had been planted. Think about it.
Thank you
The 4th Amendment isn’t sufficient perspective for you?
