Wikileaks founder Assange faces international arrest warrant over Swedish rape claims
The Telegraph ^ | Nov 18. 2010 | Staff

If the court granted the request, Swedish authorities would issue an international arrest warrant for Mr Assange, who allegedly assaulted two women last summer.

“I request the District Court of Stockholm to detain Mr Assange in his absence, suspected of rape, sexual molestation and unlawful coercion,” Marianne Ny, the Swedish director of prosecutions, said in a statement in English.

“The reason for my request is that we need to interrogate him. So far, we have not been able to meet with him to accomplish the interrogations.”

It’s a diversion to keep this media whore in the news. He probably filed the charges against himself.

How is him assaulting women seen as an effort to silence him?

He apparently initiated sexual assaults on two different women not some dark conspiratorial outside force.

No one has silence him or his website which is still operating as of this minute free to put our troops, allies, and assests in danger by releasing their personal information including social security numbers.

well, he sounds like arrogant SOB and two different women claimed rape so it is plausible.

In anycase, he is a SOB and danger to free world and should have been eliminated long time ago. If O can order targeted killings of US citizens, some australian who helps Al-Qaida, should be on the list too.

Additionally, he is apparently refusing to meet with the prosecutor for questioning thus prompting the arrest warrant.

“The reason for my request is that we have been unable to interrogate him. So far, we have not been able to meet with him to accomplish the interrogations.”

Additionally, the accused rapist is looking for a new home that does not allow extradition.

“He suggested at a news conference in London on October 23 that he might have to move to Moscow or Havana, Cuba, in his search for a secure base. “

We do not yet know if he assaulted any women. All we currently know is that a couple of women have made allegations that they were assaulted by him. Such allegations may or may not be true (for example, the Duke Lacrosse case, the Tawana Brawley case, etc).

In this case, we do not currently know if there was an assault, or whether the women were induced by some third party to make false allegations, in order to shut down an annoying pest.

Of course he has not been convicted, its hard to do when you refuse to be questioned by authorities and make claims of moving to other countries that extradition is impossible.

I will change my mind if he submits to the warrant for questioning.

But, fleeing from authorities in Sweden in not a good indication of innocence.

Assange’s Quotes:

1) SPIEGEL: During the Vietnam War, US President Richard Nixon once called Daniel Elsberg, the leaker of the Pentagon Papers, the most dangerous man in America. Are you today’s most dangerous man or the most endangered?

Assange: The most dangerous men are those who are in charge of war. And they need to be stopped. If that makes me dangerous in their eyes, so be it.

Is it “free speech” to purposely endanger US troops in an effort to stop the war in Afghanistan against Al-Qaeda?

Is it “free speech” to publish stolen military secrets that endanger US troops for a political reason or is that espionage?

“On November 4, Assange said he may seek political asylum in Switzerland.”

So if we are to believe the ‘conspiracy’ against Assange. The entire government machine of Sweden is aligned against him and in on the effort to ‘silence’ him.

Are these the same trumped-up charges as last summer, or is it for real this time?

IIRC, one of the ones last summer was that since he didn’t call her after their one-night stand, that shows he didn’t really want a relationship, and if she’d known that, she wouldn’t have slept with him, and therefore it was rape.

I want the guy’s hide nailed to the barn door for endangering our troops, but that’s not rape.

These are the same. Last summer, some politically connected lefty prosecutor dropped charges. Now they are being investigated as would any other rape charge.

There are two different women involved (separate incidents).

I would like to point out to all Freepers that the high level government bastards who are attacking Assange are the enemies of YOUR liberty, freedoms and rights to pursue happiness.

This exact same line of attack is now available against every American due to Obama’s execute order placing the Europol and Interpol above US local and Federal law, and outside the purview of local, state and Federal legislators and citizens’ rights to FOIA requests.

Any US citizen, legal resident, illegal resident or tourist can be arrested and held indefinitely in the US fighting extradition and then brisked away on a similar warrant issued by a judge from any of over two dozen countries, including countries like Romania where over 60% of judges are on mafia payrolls according to EU reports.

During the entire US court process the individual and his legal defense will have no right to discovery of any files held by Interpol and Europol to justify the warrant.

The bastards are attacking Assange not solely because of the Wikileaks DoD leaks, but to condition Americans, especially the law and order types, to accept this new brutal abbrogation of our Constitutional and Natural Born Rights as free men.

Assange is an easy target, but in the future those who make waves against the military industrial complex to protect and restore YOUR Rights, will be targeted by similar laws. And then you’ll wonder how we got this far down the slippery slope to the abyss of tyranny.

You are not following this story closely,
so here’s what you missed.

Assange fled a CIA and NATO military intelligence black op in Sweden that was carried out by the ruling Socialist party apparatus using one of the sleaziest law firms in the Socialist party camp in Sweden. At this point every independent news organization in Sweden has reported the massive irregularities of the initial police report, the initial prosecutors conduct, the initial appearance before a judge to force a warrant, the initial rolling back of the initial warrant due to gross violations of standard court room and legal procedure int he country, and the initial media PR interviews by the above mentioned lawyers from the sleazy Socialist apparatus.

Everyone who speaks/reads Swedish knows this is a black op coup of their judicial system, however the Anglophone media continues to follow the outline of events as messaged by the DoD and CIA through the initial MSM reports that were undoubtedly peppered with ‘info’ directly coming out of the intelligence community.

That freepers continue to believe this utter rubbish due to spite and enraged hate for Assange and Wikileaks for the disparaging of the US , NATO and ISAF forces, it ends up discrediting this website’s community of posters.

Permanently stoned Swedish Pirate Party supporters have a clearer mind and better grasp of this situation than the posters on FR. I never figured that would happen in regards to much of anything.

Maybe and maybe not. I do agree he needs to be silenced and if we had a real President this guy would already have had already vanished.

The Swedish court just approved the request. There is now an active international warrant for Assange's arrest.

International arrest warrant issued for WikiLeaks boss

“Assange fled a CIA and NATO military intelligence black op in Sweden”

Thanks for the laugh.... :)

It’s not a joke.
Well documented series of events,
Available on the web,
Right now, if you had any interest in the facts.

Otherwise, don’t let it bother your world view and carry on as usual.

1) The facts are that Assange was present in the country at the time of the alleged rapes and admits to having sex with the two women.

“Assange has denied the accusations on multiple occasions, but admitted to having consensual sex with two women within several days of each other.”

2) Both women independently reported the crime to authorities. These women are entitled to their day in court and the facts and merits of the case should be aired. Otherwise, it is a perversion of justice.

What we will find is the woman’s claims will be vindicated or Assange with have his name cleared.

3) Authorities state that they have not been able to interview Assange about the incidents because he refuses thereby prompting the arrest warrant.

So where is the evidence of conspiracy?

Assange has publicly admitted to having sexual relations with women and refused to discuss the matter with authorities.

Given the logic of the Assange supporters, he is immune from any and all questioning and criminal prosecution because any attempt to question or arrest him would be the result of deep dark international plot to frame him.

So he has a defacto permanent “Get Out Of Jail Card”.
