I don't know where the Palin detractors get the idea that Palin supporters believe that Sarah is a Reagan clone. Perhaps it's because we point out the obvious and inescapable similarities between them.
There really are a great many similarities between their personalities, world outlooks, conservative ideals, love of country, political careers, etc.
There are eerie parallels between their political positioning, two years out from the presidential election, as well.
Of course, Sarah Palin is not Reagan II, but she bears an almost uncanny similarity to him in many ways. It would be intellectual cowardice to not acknowledge that.
I wish someone would articulate what those similarities are, in a way that went beyond “They are both patriots.”
They are not similar in so many ways, that is scary to see her heralded as the “second coming.”
