Agreed, but why should Meg Whitman game the system by employing an illegal alien?
If the woman did the work, she should be paid, period.
This employee had perfectly legitimate-seeming documentation and there was no reason to think she was an illegal alien. Whitman paid her above average and was very good to her - and when Whitman found out that the employee was indeed illegal, she let her go.
The Dems dug her up and used to her attack Whitman, and this $5,000 is her paycheck.
