Even if the cops could wanted to locate those who slashed the tires; good luck getting a conviction.

God, I am so torn!

Thought A:

* I can’t condone vandalism and I MUST support free speech — we show our TRUE support for the 1st Amendment by allowing speech we despise.

* Wasn’t shouting them down and blocking them enough?

Thought B:

* Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress is a valid legal concept - “Free Speech” is not absolute and speech designed SPECIFICALLY to hurt someone one purpose can and should be curtailed. This is doubly true for our fallen heroes.

* As the OP said — The Tea Party was an act of vandalism and if these people get enough guff that costs them personally, the may go away.

I don’t have an answer for myself...

The Westboro Baptist Church is not a church! It is the Phelps family. The head of that family must be a HOMOSEXUAL because he rants about homosexuality!!!!

There is a nice little “bomb factory” in McAlester, OK. Great people, but they do not tolerate anti-Americanism.

Oklohoma is NOT Obozo country. Not a single county in the state voted for him. Not one.

Absolutely no good can come from these Westboro miscreants.

This will very likely end badly for them and they will have sacrificed themselves for a totally meaningless and misguided cause.

Fools!

“To make matters worse, as their minivan slowly hobbled away on two flat tires, with a McAlister police car following behind, the protesters were unable to find anyone in town who would repair their vehicle, according to police.
The minivan finally pulled over several blocks away in a shopping center parking lot, where AAA was called. A flatbed service truck eventually arrived and loaded up the minivan.”

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I drive through McAlister every time I visit my sister in Fort Smith. Great town!

It’s about time. Yes, they have a right to protest, but so does the other side.
