I like Palin. She is the only person right to tackle the MSM & certainly she would be better than the current one. Having said that, ANY candidate has to have the “establishment” support if that ‘s what it is called. Without Party establishment support, NO candidate can win the election. Winning nomination is one thing & election is another.

That war is being fought right now between the new Tea Party elected Congress & the old republican establishment. We need to join that war & back the changes that the new Congress is doing batlle for.

The entire Tea Party movement across the country was formed to get rid of the RINOs & 'friends across the aisle' country club republicans. Independents joined in to elect these new young guns. We need to keep their fire stoked or we might just as well elect RATS.

I think you have it backwards.

The "establishment" R's needs to shut up and let the rank and file pick the candidate.

So, you think if she wins the nomination, the establishment won’t vote for her? Some people need a clue. This is all hype to keep her from running and giving us another McCain.

Wake up! The Republicans will come around if she’s the nominee. How about we the conservatives, who don’t want another establishment presidential candidate? We’ll probably sit home and allow you and those who think like you do, to give us 4 more years of zero.

We’re sick of the establishment Republicans. They’ve done wonders for the party, haven’t they?

In some ways, Palin is like the old progressive Democrat William jennings Bryan. The Democratic party of his time was a coalition of urban machines and southern and midwestern farmers, with the urban machine bankrolled by bankers. He had the support of the farmers and the people in the small towns. But in 1912, the Progressives put ip Woodrow Wilson as their candidate.Bryan helped throw the election to Wilson and was named secretary of state. He lasted until 1915, although he was largely circumvented by Wilson, who used his trained dog, House, as his messenger, and resigned when it seemed that the US would go to war after the Lusitania was sunk by a German U-Boot. Thereafter he was marginalized.
