GQ's Wil Hylton has a profile out of Attorney General Eric Holder that spills more ink on the friction with recently departed White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel:
*snip*
Hylton also identifies what may be the most intriguing and important mystery of the Holder-Rahm saga, a question that may well be answered in the coming days if the administration lays out its revised plan for the alleged Sept. 11 plotters:
My sense is Hylton didn't get a real answer to that, but perhaps we'll all know soon enough.

The technicality doesn’t matter when the publisher that picked up the piece, and you posted from is Politico in commentary.
Go back to the original post and read some of the other FReeper’s posts. They write about the article in essence in agreement with my original concept as posted of the article.
You going to make this some sort of a last stand Custer?
My antennae alert as well .. ;)
AND the influence of this animosity on
what Fitzie (DOJ) does, Blago + Rahm etal
testifying = would someone unleash holy hell
and bring the whole filthy nest of Chicago
thugs into the dooms day scenario ??
Since when is Barry a child of immigrants? Barack Sr. never immigrated here, he held a British citizenship.Stanley Ann was born in the USA.
Think outside the box here. The slant of the POLITICO or GQ articles isn’t the point. What is in play is identifying cracks, political ploys, and in-fighting betwen the WH insiders, the Chicago Way, far left liberals, Clintonistas, et al. BHO’s role on the domestic and international stage has been diminished, and the fight is on for control (and resurrection) of the ‘Rat party in 2012.

GQ reports: Rahm Emanuel’s “hostile” relationship with Attorney General Eric Holder
By Lynn Sweet on November 12, 2010
###
Did Chicago mayoral hopeful Rahm Emanuel have it out for Attorney General Eric Holder? Or was he just trying to protect the Obama White House?
http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2010/11/gq_reports_rahm_emanuels_hosti.html
I read the article and it did the impossible. It made my opinion of Eric Holder even lower than it was before. Holder is transparently political and phony at the same time. Obama has been embarrassed by him on multiple occasions, most notably with the KSM trial fiasco. Of course, this article makes no mention of Holder’s involvement with the Marc Rich pardon. Holder was on the record as stating he was “Neutral, leaning towards favorable” on pardoning Rich and was willingly involved in making sure it happened and trying to justify it after the fact. Holder is Beltway scum and a disgrace to the history of the U.S. Attorney General Office.
Thanks STARWISE, but there’s not much there that I could see.
Looks like GQ laying down cover fire as usual, IOW, doing the usual partisan shilling, and in lockstep with other partisan shills, laying the blame at the feet of RE — when the writer calls Holder an “idealist”, that’s textbook b.s.
Yeah, like Holder hadn’t been thru all the
debacles with Clinton; i.e., Reno .. Waco ..
Elian Gonzalez .. he wasn’t skilled at govt
chicanery and extraordinary highhandedness ..
not to mention the Marc Rich pardon.
He’s a radical leftist .. and greedy .. to
his core, just like the rest of the Obots.
Nothing has proven that more that his insane
stance on terrorism and the trials.
GQ ... EMMANUEL ... HOLDER ... which one of them is the gayest?
Agreed. And the fact that America will punish Holder and Obama is unavoidable at this point. Just a matter of time.
Justice will be had.
Thanks for the ping. It was a pretty tough slog through the liberal prism of GQ, but it was interesting in that the article also seemed to be trying to innoculate Obama from the upcoming investigations into Holder’s handling of the Black Panther case. They fully intend on cryin racism and once again pointing the finger at the Bush Administration.
That playbook is getting old. It also seems clear that the left in the media have been gunning for Rahm to be the scapegoat for quite some time...perhaps they finally see the opening to do so and protect Obama at the same time.
