Their ship lost power after an engine fire Monday and was adrift about 200 miles outside San Diego and 44 miles off the coast of Mexico.

At that distance from land, it was out of cell phone range for much of the ordeal. The fire left the ship without air conditioning, hot water or hot food. The casino was closed and, for a time, so were the bars. The swimming pool was off-limits because the pumps wouldn't work.

Mark and Ginger Kalin and their 9-year-old daughter Parker were on the cruise as part of a magicians' convention.

US Marines at Chosin Reservoir in The Korean War endured stench, cold food.

Happy Belated Veterans Day.

These folks on dry land oughta quit the whining and thank a nearby Veteran for enduring 10x more than what they had to go through for a few days.

I'll bet a few passengers were scouting about for who to eat first.

Good thing these people never sailed on The Endurance.

Our military who ensures our liberties endures fighting in the 130 degree temperatures, freezing cold, sometimes no food, no toilet, no showers for days and these dupes complain that they have to do without a shower for a few days and cold food!

Seriously, it sounds like it would have been worse if all went as planned.

Oh, and do your business over the side of the boat next time your toilet isn't working. Why keep filling it up just to spoon it out?

Golly, I feel so sorry for them. I am sure it must have been worse than the jungles of Vietnam in the 60’s and early 70.s,

A ship full of magicians and they couldn't fix the engine?

Friend of mine was a Navy firefighter for the USS Abraham Lincoln battle group (was part of cleanup for USS Cole). Said that with a ship that size, a fire like that would generate an extreme amount of heat because of hydraulic fluids and oils, it likely fried lots of redundant systems through power surges and malfunctions. You’d have to cut everything to get it under control, then very carefully inspect what you can and can’t bring back online. And even then, what you do bring back online is enough to keep you alive just in case something sparks another fire.

I am sure that these poor precious people were so put out and distraught that they will need counciling for years to come. Poor useless sheep.

Grow a darn spine for christ sake there are a crap load of former middle class (now homeless) people that have to suffer a hell of lot more than these special sheep.
