Man charged with assault at Muslim poppy-burning protest

A man was today charged with assaulting a police officer after a poppy burning protest by an Islamic group in London.

Stephen Lennon, 27, the founder of the English Defence League, which was protesting against the burning, was bailed to appear at West London magistrates' court on 22 November.

Two other men, aged 30 and 25, were arrested for public order offences and were bailed pending further inquiries.

Another man was arrested for possession of Class A drugs, and four men, aged 41, 42, 19 and 18, who were arrested for affray were also bailed after the protest in Exhibition Road near the Royal Albert Hall.

Members of Islam Against Crusaders set fire to a large poppy as the clock struck 11am on Armistice Day and chanted "British soldiers burn in hell" during their protest.

Demonstrator Abu Rayah, from east London, said yesterday: “We're here because people talk about all this patriotism but people in Afghanistan want Sharia and the soldiers keep dropping cluster bombs on our people and it's like they just want us dead. We want British and American troops out of Afghanistan now.”

Police stood between the group and members of the English Defence League who were mounting a counter demonstration, and officer was taken to hospital with a head injury during clashes.

Father-of-two Lennon, also known as Yaxley-Lennon and Tommy Robinson, has spoken on behalf of the EDL.

The sad part is that most of the serfs in England will look at this and view the English Defense League as the real dangerous radicals. That country is dying.

Yet, Abu, you seem to be living nicely in Britain and not in Afghanistan.

I, for one, admire the English Defence League.

At least someone in the U.K. wants to fight back.

Why were the Muzzies burning poppies? Are they talking about the same kind of poppies from which heroin and other drugs are derived?

HA! Just makes them able to take a punch to the head and keep on swinging.

These guys love their country and their culture and more than that... They are willing to fight to protect them.

Stephen Lennon should’ve been allowed to do whatever is necessary to silence the protesters.

You DON'T tell people in their own country that their soldiers are burning in Hell on veteran's day.

Stephen Lennon should get an award instead of being charged!

heh...

Yeah..The leftists use the same tactics there that they do here...

Use the Nuts and sluts defense until it no longer works then pull out the “big guns” and call your enemy racists... Just like they do the Tea party folks here.

Instead of fighting you on this I invite everyone to go to their FB site and their own website and see for yourself that these guys just want to protect their country from militant islam, the implementation of sharia law, and the socialist F’ers who are aiding the destruction of GB.

"Affray." Hadda look that one up! affray |əˈfrā| noun Law, dated an instance of group fighting in a public place that disturbs the peace : Lowe was charged with causing an affray | a person guilty of affray. ORIGIN Middle English (in the general sense [disturbance, fray] ): from Anglo-Norman French afrayer ‘disturb, startle,’ based on an element of Germanic origin related to Old English frithu [peace, safety] (compare with German Friede ‘peace’ ).

Hey, don't get me wrong. If a Muslim extremist and a member of the EDL came onto my land, I'd shoot the Muslim extremist first, also.

And I also invite everyone to the EDL website . . . have a first-hand look what white supremacists can accomplish with a PR staff.

Is it true that you still beat your children?

There are rumors that you force your wife to have “relations” with donkeys. Any truth to this?

That’s what I’m wondering too. I don’t get the poppy symbolism.

I disagree. I don’t want their blood on my hands, but I believe they should all be returned to their native hell holes and quarantined there: no travel to the West, banned from all social media and YouTube (let them create their own IF THEY CAN) no immigration to the West, very limited trade with the West, all the ones here now sent home, converts banished to Muzlim countries. Treat them like the life-threatening disease that they are.

In Flanders Field

By Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow

Loved, and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch, be yours to hold it high

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

Burning a koran would be a provocation that even one of our Supreme Court gods in black robes said "is not protected speech", yet Islamic supremacist colonists denouncing British soldiers on Armistice Day ("burn in hell") is 'not' a provocation.

There is no England now.

Funny, you should mention it . . . I do have "relations" with donkeys. Two, in fact, but purely platonic. And I'm not married.

Any truth that you've never been to England and don't know what the hell you are talking about?
