We are an overwhelming social conservative county

So are we (Benton County, WA) and no one could imagine PP establishing a death clinic here until they did, about 10-15 years ago. Still in shock over it. Protests still occur and there is usually a Rosary said in front on Tuesday mornings.

These are not free clinics. Everyone is required to pay something. If you are uninsured, they set up a payment plan that you can afford. They also take the Medicare and Medicaid patients that more and more doctors are refusing. See my post 36 for further details of the one in my county.

Well planned parenthood is always pushing its way in somewhere, but at the present, no one on the board would vote to allow it at the Health Center.

My fear is that other centers in liberal states will bring a lawsuit, and win with some liberal judges misinterpreting the “new Language” in Obamacare bill, and the Federal Behemoth will “force” it on us. Another reason to repeal Obamacare as fast as possible, amend it to make the “Hyde” amendment pertain to all funding.

Community Health centers were established in the 1970’s. They exist in every state. The CEOs of each center belong to the state's Primary Care Association.

They are run by local boards. Our county's health center has a good board, that is very cost conscious, and the health care is good. They take all insurances, medicare, medicaid, uninsured(payment plan), and poor(discounted payment plan).
