U.S. sends $727 million to community health centers
Money will go to clinics in 40 states that provide care even to those who cannot pay -
WASHINGTON The Obama administration on Friday announced $727 million will go to help fix up community health centers across the country, the first of $11 billion for the centers promised by the U.S. healthcare reform law.
The money will go to 143 community health centers which provide services regardless of patients' ability to pay in about 40 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico, the Health and Human Services department said.

So are we (Benton County, WA) and no one could imagine PP establishing a death clinic here until they did, about 10-15 years ago. Still in shock over it. Protests still occur and there is usually a Rosary said in front on Tuesday mornings.
These are not free clinics. Everyone is required to pay something. If you are uninsured, they set up a payment plan that you can afford. They also take the Medicare and Medicaid patients that more and more doctors are refusing. See my post 36 for further details of the one in my county.
My fear is that other centers in liberal states will bring a lawsuit, and win with some liberal judges misinterpreting the “new Language” in Obamacare bill, and the Federal Behemoth will “force” it on us. Another reason to repeal Obamacare as fast as possible, amend it to make the “Hyde” amendment pertain to all funding.
They are run by local boards. Our county's health center has a good board, that is very cost conscious, and the health care is good. They take all insurances, medicare, medicaid, uninsured(payment plan), and poor(discounted payment plan).
Hey! I just found a way to trim $727 million from the bloated US Government budget!
and eventually euthanasia for the “expensive” older disabled children.
