Missiles are supposed to spin - planes
aren't - genius. Nice strawman. Nobody was talking about the aircraft--they were talking about the contrail...and that spins when exhaust comes out of a turbine, Einstein.

I’m guessing that jimbo123 wasn’t given that name on his birth certificate, but that he legally changed to it and is therefore proud to put it on all his accounts. Probably makes it confusing on his mailbox, though...unless he lives at 123 Jimbo St.

But at one place you can see it has changed course rockets dont do that Uh, excuse me? He's trying to tell me that a SLBM can't course correct? Seems to me that most rockets have that capability. I have no military experience, but I find his assertion extremely hard to believe. A bit of net research certainly suggests that they can. Maybe someone more knowledgeable that me can clear this up.

Read "Blind Man's Bluff" for what was possible decades ago. THAT was a good read.
There seems to be a lot of assumption that the coasts of the United States are locked up tight with SOSUS sensors and intersecting patrols of ASW aircraft ready to scramble at a moment's notice and so forth.
I'm not sure what the current state of coastal defense for the continental US is, but I wouldn't be shocked if it turned out that there was pretty much nothing at all anymore.

Yeah, cannot be the navy, they are all off the coast of asia protecting the asshat.
Has the look of a missile, the gain in altitude at that angle rules out any commercial plane albeit it could be a military plane going vertical.

This administration disregarded the reports that North Korea sank a Japanese ship as well. Until they couldn’t dispute the evidence anymore.

It’s not gaining altitude; it’s flying level, toward the camera but very high, and far away.

I would say that there is going to be a large contingent of FReepers eating crow within a few days over this media-driven misidentification... but the sad reality is that the tinhat brigade here is simply going to double-down and wrap themselves in even dumber conspiracy theories. Agreed.
They've spent too much time out in the sun with the shiny side facing in!
