JAKARTA, Indonesia The two houses where he spent part of his boyhood stand pretty much the way they did when he went back to Hawaii four decades ago. The two schools he attended have grown larger but, in spirit, remain unchanged. Some of his old friends can still be found around the neighborhood.
Near one of his homes here, the same family still runs a wooden stall selling gado-gado, an Indonesian salad covered in peanut sauce. Agus Salam, who took over the business from his mother years ago, played soccer with the American boy everybody here called Barry.

New York Times:The two houses where he spent part of his ******boyhood******
If that line was done by Fox wonder what would the MSM do?
guess NYT can’t use the word childhood?.
Now I’m confused, is the article wrong or is the date of the picture inaccurate?
Or does anyone really know?
I want to see Obama part a tsunami.

My husband and I disagree on this issue - he still thinks Barry was born outside of the US, but my money is on him using the Indonesian connection to get foreign aid for College. I think he lied and claimed to be from Indonesia and he doesn’t want that info to get out. Possibly even used the legal adoption by Soetoro as proof of his indonesian citizenship.
The short answer is that nobody KNOWS anything about Obama, and until he releases his bona fides, we never will KNOW.
By the way, I don’t think Obama KNOWS the true story of his family’s events between 1960 and 1964.
The answer to your question is the article is clearly incorrect — as are all the other “biographies”.
Obama acknowledged the photo in his letter.
I feel like I'm living in the Twilight Zone, seriously.

Hi Fred.
Great picture.
Clearly, Obama confirms he was in Honolulu in 1969, contrary to ALL biographies and biographical profiles.
It never ceses to amaze me that none of these contradictions ever perks the curiosity of Obots.
Obama on Wednesday will deliver one of the most personal and potentially consequential speeches of his presidency, reflecting on his own years of upbringing in Indonesia and giving an update on Americas new beginning with Muslims that he promised last year in Cairo.
