House Republicans have tapped two newly elected congressmen who drew tea party backing in their campaigns to help lead the party's transition to power.
Adam Kinzinger of Illinois and Tim Scott of South Carolina, who won endorsements by Sarah Palin and support from tea party activists, are part of a newly named 22-member team charged with crafting new rules and smoothing the GOP's shift from minority to majority.

Okay!
John Crichton got elected to Congress? Cool.
Cool! Excellent, excellent appointments!
If only the rest of them would get sucked through a wormhole...
Means nothing. The real test is appointments to committee positions.
I heard Tim Scott of South Carolina speak on Fox the other day, he is one harp cookie. Wish our other male republicans had a pair like this guy.
Meanwhile, Eric Cantor said last night on Fox that no TEA reps will be in the party leadership, not even Bachman, just the “Good Ole Boys”..
It's nice when the targets of future election cycles self-identify.
Cantor said no such thing
Cantor was on Chris Wallace last night and he did in fact say that the repub from Texas would get the 4th seat and when Wallace said to him that what he is saying is that the TEA Party will not have a seat at the table of power he went into how the TEA Party is an organic movement outside of the republican party. He had a big ole grin on his face.
Chris told him that what he is saying is the “Good Ole Boy” network and he just smiled and said no there are lots of good conservatives there already.
Depends on which side of the weasel remarks he made, you look. One of the best ones; It is a win win situation. Which meant shut up Bachman, you are not welcome in our leadership.
Only two? The Republican party better wake up!
This is great! But, as usual, people have to bitch that it’s not enough or that the GOP is stil screwing the Tea Party. Yawn....
