You are correct. The first slave in the new world was a black man owned by a black man.

The entire issue is much more complicated that is generally taught.

There were black slave owners in the South during the civil war.

The slave trad would not have existed with the help of blacks in Africa who provided slave ships with their cargo. In fact Obama's African relatives are descended from black slavers.

Slavery also existed in the North

what’s the betting that obama never told his daughters on his trip over to Africa about Johnson or how blacks caught blacks and then sold them to whites in Africa .

Johnson was so mean to his slaves that one of them ran away and asked the white neighbour to let his stay with him.
It was that time that Johnson went to court and had slavery legalised.
