Union control of the state. And to think Jerry Brown on the first time around created the public employees unions. The tale is wagging the dog.
You gotta good point there.
MA, CA and fraud.
Anyone who really thought Fiorina would beat the Union backed Boxer in California is out of their minds. just be happy it was as close as it was.
Maybe in 2012 the voters in these states will wake up?
Reid’s win shouldn’t be a surprise. We’re talking about unions in Vegas. You look at the state at the county level and the blue areas were where the unions are and the blue areas were where the population centers are. It’s like California. California is decided by the bastions of liberalism.
Brown, Boxer, and Frank: The Democratic People’s Republics of California and Massachusetts are really that Liberal. Not much we can do about it.
Reid - there is a fair chance that this election was stolen. Reid picked up a LOT more votes than any other state-wide Democrat candidate; i.e. people that otherwise voted for Republicans had votes registered for Reid.
Rush is explaining why Whitman and Fiorina lost. They were squishy moderates...they didn’t STAND for anything.
Reid...very unclear if that’s even real or legitimate.
Frank- we may not have had a strong candidate.
Idiots, morons liberals and democrats!!!
BROWN, BOXER: It’s California, insanity is normal.
REID: Small, concentrated population, BIG political machine.
FRANK: A combination of the left leaning populace, and the ingrained lib/dem structure.
When you TALK with people in MA, they seem to hate Barney. Yet they vote for him.
Nevada? (1) Illegals voted. (2) Reid rallied his mafia base - prostitutes and gambling interests.
California, California, rampant fraud, Massachusetts.
As I former resident of CA I sympathize. There's no rationale for the voting there. It's as if they want to suppress the private sector forever and as long as they are bailed out, why shouldn't they? It's going to take a total collapse of the economy to get them to reconsider.
As for Reid, as I work in NV now I get to talk to voters here. The one thing that goes unnoticed is the fact that he is the majority leader from a small state. So there's a cool factor that NV can be influential beyond its size with Reid in power. They don't tie the disasterous economy here to him, but they should.
I know some people from up Massachusetts way. They are Liberals and convinced that the Fannie and Freddie debacle was just a drop in the bucket to the *real* crime, which was the bundling of these mortgages (as well as all the other fraudulent ones) into instruments that were then traded for billions. They then sold the instruments as AAA to pension funds - so when the mortgages collapsed, the pension funds holding them did as well. The only people left making any money were the bankers that had sold them - and got to keep the foreclosed property as well..
One cousin of mine pulled out a whole lot of numbers in articles to support himself. If what he says is true, Frank’s voters apparently feel that *his* little grift was NOTHING compared to the Bigger Thieves - so they’ll stick with him!
Thats just it, Bielat was too good, too successful, and too honest for them, he would have made his constituents feel inferior.....and I mean this serously. Frank is one of their own, sleazy, immoral, and corrupt. Birds of a feather and all that.
Angle was just a weak candidate. The Tea Party brought great energy to this cycle but at the same time cost us several seats. Maybe Colorado.
I don’t buy the “they’re too moderate” line. Sorry. This state is way way way too liberal to long for a hard core conservative.
Every couple of years, some Freeper comes along and says that. I don't think it's happening. They're lost causes. Basically what you're hoping for is for liberals to see the light. They love their big government. It just ain't happening. California and Nevada are decided by the population centers. The Republicans out there in the rural areas are outnumbered.
