I don’t think a Republican can win a major race in California. I would have voted for her because i can’t stand moonbeam.

Looks like some good news and close races:
House District 11
60.8% of precincts reporting
David Harmer (R) 49% 61,119.00 Votes
Jerry McNerney (D) 46% 57,737.00 Votes
David Christensen (I) 5% 6,660.00 Votes

House District 20
49.8% of precincts reporting
Andy Vidak (R) 50% 20,148.00 Votes
Jim Costa (D) 50% 19,881.00 Votes

BAD NEWS: It looks like Bob Filner (D) and Loretta Sanchez (D) are keeping their House seats.

I’m over the moon as to what has happened nationally. I guess I wanted a little icing on the cake with a wishful fanstasy of Boxer at least losing. I knew it was a long shot.

As I said earlier we’ve seriously talked of getting the hell out of here. We live in the Sac Valley and homes are moving so slow it’s scary to make a call with two teens getting closer to college. Trying to cover that and the thought of selling and moving it’s a huge gamble. Wouldn’t mind at all moving to Just some where small and sweet where family values and community spirit are rich.

Ugh! As despicable as Tran’s campaign stinky trick was, I was hoping he’d win against Loretta Sanchez.

Maybe they are out celebrating. I am really mad about it not only did Brown win Boxer will most likely win and California has just voted to move the threshold from a 2/3 to 55% majority which now will enable them to raise taxes
not to mention California also voted not to suspend AB32
our greenhouse bill and my city even passed a $10.00 fee for 20 years to be added to our car registration. The state also had a measure to add $18.00 on to the car registration but I think State wide it failed whoopee so insetad of 30.00 extra a year I only have to pay 10.00 on top of the 233.00 that I already pay to register my car. I really hate it here but I have 2 grwon kids who live here and I dont want to move away from them. Well I guess at least the Republicans took over the House so yay to that small victory that should put Obama off his commie game for about 2 seconds. Serenity Now :)

“Time for lights out.” Amen to that. Tomorrow is another day. I can’t stand listening to any more of the blather from the media.

I live in Murrieta and I’m completely stunned with these results. To make matters worse, I even had to vote for Bono-Mack!
We’re surrounded by drones!

GOD save us!

I’m in CA 11 so naturally I want Harmer to pull this out. He’s had a thin lead all night so this is good news.

I’m not Polly but agree. It’s going to be more difficult than ever on so many levels. Very discouraging.

I know the feeling. Fortunately, I’ll be in a position to leave. Like I said earlier the Democrats will now have full responsibility for the downfall of this state.

The SOS site was crashing earlier, but it seems to be OK now.

They are posting results in PDF files about every 1/2 hour. It also shows which counties have reported - and not.
http://www.sos.ca.gov/
(CLICK “*Election Results*” under the Yellow “My Vote” box — it links to a pdf file that is constantly being updated)

Otherwise, I seem to be finding the most current results being reported at Townhall (they have had more current info than SDUnion Trib, SacBee, CNN, etc. )

Yeah, that is why I stopped listening to them. They complain too much. But, they were right not to endorse that Maldonado character - what is the point in supporting him when he stabbed us all in the back? And for what did he sell his vote? Putting open primaries on the ballot! This guy was not a conservative and didn’t really even belong in the GOP. He was out for himself and I am glad he has to go back to the private sector. Sometimes you just have to purge the traitors and to hell with party. Maybe something good will come out of it in 4 or 8 years. Perhaps when unemployment is 22% and money, factories and businesses are fleeing the state and the budget is $40 or $50 billion in the hole the people will realize the path we have been on is untenable.

They think that because it is so beautiful to live here that people won’t want to leave but that misses the point. We have to attract new business and encourage entrepreneurs and attract investments in order to employ our residents just to keep what we have now. We are seeing continued attrition and absolutely no incentives for any private sector investment. And ironically, there will be nobody to pay the big fat public union pensions if businesses flee and unemployment skyrockets. They will have to compromise eventually, or, perhaps the people will get sane when they see how bad it can get when you drive away interest and kick out industry due to onerous regulations and confiscatory taxation.

You know I think you’re right. I listen thinking they’re conservatives but then am always switching channels as they go wacko-lefty on some blue topic.
