Obama was always blatantly elitist, but half the nation was mesmerized by his celebrity aura and this effectively shut down their critical thinking. We saw his haughty personality on day one.

Mathews isn’t reconsidering his support here. He’s simply playing politics and hoping to gain credibility with the voters. Mathews wishes to appear unbiased, but I don’t trust the words he speaks. He’s a two headed snake.
We were saying this before Obama was elected. Nothing new here other than the fact that Matthews’ tingle has left the building.
