After intercepting two mail bombs addressed to Chicago-area synagogues, investigators are searching for two dozen more suspect packages that terrorists in Yemen attempted to smuggle onto aircraft in a brazen al-Qaida terror plot. Authorities on three continents thwarted the attacks when they seized explosives on cargo planes in the United Arab Emirates and England on Friday. The plot sent tremors throughout the U.S., where after a frenzied day searching planes and parcel trucks for other explosives, officials temporarily banned all new cargo from Yemen. Several U.S. officials said they were increasingly confident that al-Qaida's Yemen branch, the group behind the failed Detroit airliner bombing last Christmas, was responsible. A Yemeni security official said the new investigation involved about 26 suspected packages.

I am so glad that over the past two years our foreign policy has been respectfult to other cultures and religeons. We are certainly less of a target now.

I’d be willing to bet that Obama will try to use this issue as his “October surprise” by trying to show how “tough” he is on terrorism. (How he will balance that with his constant mantra that Muslims aren’t the real threat to America may be a challenge.)

If that was the case he would be back at the White House at least trying to be a President instead of campaigning to up his chances for 2012. Once again he is demonstrating to the American people its all about him and nothing about us.
But I didn’t hear him use the word terrorist...they’re “extremists”....which is absolutely useless word in this case unless one refers to “MUSLIMS”.
