Wouldn’t be a gift from the Lord if there appears an Alaskan lady named Lisa Merchowski who fills out all the forms and gets her name on the list? :-)

Does it have to be an Alaskan resident? I only briefly scanned the form, but I didn’t see anything that said it was a requirement.

I didn’t look at the links but the exhortation says, “if you are an alaskan resident”. It would make sense that you can’t be a write-in for alaska senator without being an alaskan resident.

I Love it. Spam the system. Make the list as long as the phone book. Of course the Nome phone book isn’t all that big, but hey what the heck.

It would make sense, but I was just wondering. It would be funny to start a viral campaign having thousands of people around the country signing up to be on the ballot for the seat.

Well, the Constitution requires a senator be a resident of the state he is seeking to represent.

But that has been frequently ignored in recent decades, especially when a Kennedy or Clinton wants to fly in and be elected. You can also argue that the more stringent qualifications for president have been ignored.

So why should you be excluded simply because you live in Wyoming?

Or do both? You can get your name on the write in list to bury the Princess’ name AND obviously vote for miller. The two are not mutually exclusive and both help miller.

If anyone has a name similar to Murkowski’s, it would be fun- especially as voters may misspell her name and those counting the votes can’t make the assumption with the misspelling that the vote was for her.

Similar names would be nice but any other name that reduces the visibility of Princess Mooky’s name would help

Gotchs - need more coffee.

I was confused with writing in on the ballot, not multiplying the Liza Merkinski options.

They need to find several folks with the name Mirkowski, or Murkowsky, or something close and get them on the list.

According to the Section I U.S. Constitution, "No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen." (emphasis added). No senator is "elected" until the votes are in and counted. Therefore, it may be arguable that any person thirty years old or older and nine years a citizen of the U.S. can run.
