I didn’t realize that Reid was chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission 1977-81.

Those were the peak years for Frank ‘Lefty’ Rosenthal at the Stardust.

Rosenthal was fictionalized as Ace Rothstein in the film ‘Casino.’ In that film, he provided bribes (in the form of chips/markers) and call girls to a Nevada Gaming Commissioner (played by Dick Smothers).

We just got home from Las Vegas and Dingy Harry had some pretty nasty low down TV ads. I talked to several people that said they were influenced by those anti Angle ads. I certainly hopes she beats him. I told one guy that I disliked Reid so much that I wished I could move to LV so I could vote against him but I had to stay in Texas to vote against White for governor.
