In the Times article, it was much larger and much more evident. There will be some people who will dispute my claim but - believe me - it ain’t a Rorschact test.
Oh, and the artist is a citizen of Iran.

It’s not a certain likeness, but I can tell you the similarity is close enough that I wouldn’t be bringing it back to New York, especially given the origin.
I’m thinking she’s well aware of the image and memories it evokes and is showing it off as a grand gesture of her liberal “open mindedness,” in hopes of egging on an outcry.

Now...the supposed date this painting was done by Farideh Lashai is 1999...but I am dubious. Check the artist's other works. It seems to be a recurring theme.
If not, and this is supposed to represent the Twin Towers, then this broad's statement from that same article is reprehensible.
