Pravda means “TRuth”
Russians used to use the names of their two top “news” agencies this way, and I’ll do this phonetically, “S pravda nee isvestia, s isvestia nee pravda,” which means, “In the truth there is no news, and in the news there is no truth.”
Looks like NPR is a good example of exactly that.
