A brilliant analysis of why the elitists hate Christine O'Donnell and people like her (i.e., people like us) and all that she represents.
Excellent article from Keyes.
Indeed.
Yep, he always does.
While reading this I was reminded that years ago I worked for a company headquartered in Cambridge, MA. It was owned by old money and run by Harvard grads and the politically connected. During a national sales meeting they decided to honor us riff-raff by holding the annual board of directors meeting at the company with us, each a small shareholder, in attendance. I never saw such an eclectic mix of old money and aging hippy trust fund babies.
During the meeting one of our own had the temerity to nominate another of us to be a member of the board. That nomination was soundly defeated and it was obvious we would never again have the privilege of such an invitation.
Amazingly insightful article by Dr. Keyes. He is sometimes a little hard to absorb, for me, because he covers a lot of ground with most of the things he says and speaks at/to an elevated level. But I gained a lot of insight into his argument style with this article. Thanks for posting it!
So what? That was a lot more than four hours ago per the moderator’s instructions.
We are under heavy fire.
We need EVERY, and I mean EVERY swinging _____ under the current battle circumstances.
Dr. Keyes is right-on here. Some people on FR dont like him, but we have GOT TO UNITE right now behind the Movement and our candidates, such as Christine who is under immense attack. We have not only the Democrat Party to fight, but the whole ELITE MEDIA SYSTEM both domestic and abroad, which will go into overdrive over the next two weeks 24/7 to somehow influence the vote in their favor, in favor of Obama and the Democrat Congress and to whittle down the Patriot lead as much as they can. I personally believe 2010 is our last chance as a Republic...Obama can do THAT MUCH DAMAGE in two years under a Democrat House and Senate.
Eagles UP!
PLEASE NOTE TAGLINE, and also donate to FREE REPUBLIC please!! We need everyone in action!!!
Sounds like the 1988 precinct-meeting "slapdown" I attended, which some of us thought was an open caucus. Then the sold-out precinct chair opened her yap and it went downhill fast. The bluehairs lounging around said nothing while we debated, then moved the question, nominated Bush, and then rolled on out to their waiting Lincoln Continentals. We got mugged. Never had a chance. Manor Bush, how they do things in Yankeeland. Thanks for coming.
What I remember is the quiet contempt. Boy, it was loud.
Very worthwhile, but I gave up on first try, then went back and tackled it again and mastered it. Now I am pleased I did. I went tsee him speak in person years ago, an he is great speaker, really understands economics.
In this particular article, he stayed on one topic (whereas my general impression of him is that he ranges quite widely) long enough for me to follow him...usually he loses me. He kind of has this style where he seems to assume that if you are listening to him in the first place, you accept his foundational dozen or so premises. That’s only a mild criticism...he’s obviously an incredibly intelligent man.
They think they can ride out the storm and we will all go away.
You are so right AiT....the next 2 weeks are very critical and the lashing out of the elite overlords will be very extreme....this is article is vintage Alan Keyes and very good. Let’s remember that Keyes saw the danger but the GOP had no candidate to run against Obama for the IL US Senate seat but Keyes went to Chicago and effectively hammered the chosen One in debate. He is a very brave man.
5+, including relatives in Massachusetts.
Has anyone noticed that the DNC has targeted ALL Republican women? I think NOW and others are scared that, if the Republican Party was taken over by women, the Democrats would lose a sizable voting block.
now is not the time for us, any of us, to armchair general, or to prematurely celebrate, but really get into play, in whichever way we can, no matter how small or prominent a role, for the next two weeks, for various House/Senate/Governor and local campaigns.
I would like to dissent. Though I usually agree with Dr. Keyes on the issues, and voted for him in the primary the first time he ran for Prez, I think he is a marginal and counter-productive influence on the conservative movement now. We should get involved in primaries and support the most conservative candidate we can who has some chance of winning, as conservatives have been all over the country. But Keyes’s “denounce nearly everyone” strategy makes him seem looney to too many people...
