Then, your initial statement, sounding like a complaint about "the old Nazis/Fascists are really leftists meme." sounds a little odd.

Mussolini was a collectivist statist. He was very close to being an American progressive. Hitler, bringing his anarcho-syndicalist streak of union control of business, was even closer.

This needs to be spelled out as long as it takes, to overcome lies and instruct people accurately from history, "old" as it may seem to some, thanks.
