A film portraying the real-life stoning of an Iranian woman is opening in London despite protests from the country's government.
It depicts a brutal form of punishment still sanctioned by Iran's current hard-line regime.
The film's director claims some European governments have been reluctant to support it - fearful of antagonising Iran's regime, already at loggerheads with the West.
The film The Stoning Of Soraya M is based on the true story of a woman brutally killed after being falsely accused of adultery.
Soraya is stoned to death in her Iranian village under Islamic Sharia law.
The film's director, Cyrus Nowrasteh, has dedicated the screening to Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani currently facing execution by stoning or hanging in Iran for adultery.

I would love to see this film. I have seen clips on TV. Hopefully it will wake up the world to how women are treated worse than animals in certain countries.

Oh that's right, they are completely booked telling talk show hosts that Islamic law is nothing to be concerned about and figuratively burnig Sarah Palin at the stake.
The link to the full length film was posted on FR a month or two ago. It is very graphic. Just unbelievable! I wish it would go viral so these people who defend Islam can see how they really are. The whole village participates in the stoning. Even her father and sons. Just goes to show you, there are no “peaceful” muslims.

I agree. We must be respectful of their wonderful culture that has given so much to civilization. Who are we to judge? Remember...all cultures are equal. Islam needs to be wiped off the face of the earth.
If the film infuriates them so much they can guarantee it will never be filmed again by simply banning the act of stoning.
