Friends, I am in Delaware and offer the following:

1. No one is watching the debate.
2. O’Donnell has been treated badly. 3 against 1.
3. O’Donnell’s performance has been uneven - great on some issues, terrible on others. She is NOT that intellectually deep and missed many opportunities to crush him.
4. Coons has been condescending.
5. As Erik at Red State has commented, COD is taking one for the team from coast to coast; all the MSM attention on COD has helped to liberate Angle, Buck and others from the MSM crosshairs.
6. I am encouraging everyone I know to vote for COD but she is unlikely to make it in DE. Whether you care about this or not, Castle would have crushed Coons and given the GOP an immediate +1 pickup.
7. Every GOP down-ballot conservative is terrified of COD and wanted Castle at the top of the ticket. It is now every man for himself in DE.
8. I wish COD well and hope that 2 million dollars can expose Coons for the Obama rubber stamp that he will be.

That is how I see it as well... COD has selflessly taken the arrows for the team. Angle, Buck and Rand Paul, to name a few... if they win... owe her a great deal of thanks.

No one is watching the debate.

Well hopefully they won't be voting then also. I'll bet more Republicans are watching than Democrats.

She exceeded expectations in this debate...the next round of polling may bring some renewed vigor to the race!

Well... I watched the whole thing and thought COD did very VERY well. Have no idea what you reference as "terrible" and "not intellectually deep".

What an elitist comment.

No, the GOP would have gotten another RINO like Jeffords and Spector and Collins and Snowe. Do you live in Delaware?

1. I’m glad Christine isn’t a polished same old, same old politician. She’s human, imagine that!

2. I don’t care if her speeches are memorized or not; she’s not running to be a speech-memorizer. Her message is what is important.

3. Her ideas and beliefs are what count as a not-yet Senator, not her ability to be a walking Encyclopedia. Just about anybody can look stuff up, but not just any political contender can recognize and be willing to tackle the problems we face as Americans.

4. I don’t live in Delaware and can’t vote for her, but I *can* send her another donation! Hope lots of others do too.

Castle would have beaten Coons, but then for six years would have voted like Snowe and Collins, enabling the dems to crow about “bipartisan support.”

Maybe, but then again, he lost. Isn't that why we have primaries?

Honestly, we (the Conservative movement) are better off with Coons in that seat than Mike Castle. Let the dividing line be sharp and clear; enough of the RINO party.

“1. No one is watching the debate.”

Hope some influential voters (like you) are.
She done good and lots of voters trust the opinions of “political nerds” for such judgements.
She HAS got a long way to go in a short time though.

I disagree. I'm way out in New Mexico and would have crawled over broken glass to watch this! Several of my friends were chomping at the bit to see it too! The Delaware online web site where it was being streamed was getting hammered!

Everyone knew O'Donnell would have a harder time getting elected than the leftist Castle, but she's a Conservative and Castle is a liberal. I'm one of the people who am glad to have seen Castle lose regardless of what the outcome of this election is. Castle can't even bring himself to support O'Donnell because he wants the candidate with his same liberal ideology to win, and that's Coons. O'Donnell can win this and no one should give up on her. We should be working as hard as we possibly can all the way up until election day.

F Rino’s...

The concessions that would have had to be made to get that “+1” are way too costly. Its good that we can clearly draw the lines of those people who want to crush real freedom and those who want to regain it.

Its much better to know EXACTLY which direction to shoot in when its time to fight.
