It matters if you said something that wasn’t true in order to present a document as more authentic than we can necessarily know that it is.
That’s where trust comes in. And that’s a really sore issue on the eligibility scene because there are so many conflicting theories, focuses, and personalities. People don’t know who to trust, and every document that is offered up depends in some way on the credibility of the person who offers it. That’s why all the questions seem like such a personal attack and why there has been so much hurt and division.
