"It means all the world to us to know that there are prayer circles out there and people who are keeping the spirits clean around us," First Lady Michelle Obama said on the "Tom Joyner Morning Show" today.

I googled Santeria looking for the concept that Michelle mentions.
This excerpt describes an idea of ‘spiritual influenza’ and the need to clean it:
“What Im trying to say is that we humans generate positive or negative influenza, as a result of our actions and reactions. We attach influenza to one another no differently that we do a cold, virus, or flu. We assimilate or absorb this influenza as simple as by way of earth, wind, fire or water. Earth is by touching one another or surface; Wind is by molecules or dust particles that are in the air; Water is by touch or ingesting a fluid substance; Fire is through religious, spiritual, or fraternal political, ritual. Once an influenza is ascertained or acquire, what does one do? Well, apply a spiritual healing therapy solution. Spiritual healing therapy solution is a fancy way of saying voodoo ritual, spiritual cleansing, or holistic/alternative new age healing method. This normally involves the expunging or expulsion of negative energy through ritual.”

There are hundreds of thousands of Christians who are praying for the safety of our nation each day. None of them are praying for clean spirits around the Obamas...most peculiar.

Also, Michelle’s statement that there are “ people who are keeping the spirits clean around us” misunderstands what spiritual warfare is from a Christian perspective. It’s not people that do it at all. It’s God. We just pray.
So one part of the statement is bizarre and the other is a theological mess.
Quite different from 'clean spirits' hanging around.
Somebody close to Michelle is practicing voudou, santeria, or wicca. They're the only ones that talk about "clean spirits".
Or maybe she's just a New Age nut that's been reading too much gobbledegook.
Sounds New Agey to me.
People are praying believe me!
Christians are praying against Obama’s anti-Christian policies!
We are praying that we will retain the freedom to still be Christians despite her husband's freedom destroying mission.
Funny! I came up with the same phrase! “New Age gobbledegook” it is!
“Clean spirits” sounds like some kind of african voodoo mumbo jumbo.
Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
~Psalm 109:8
‘Spirits??? Oh oh...Witches.... ‘
And no one in the MSM will make this connection, or bring it up as a question...
but let a rep/tea partier (O’Donnell) be in any way associated, and it’s wall to wall coverage
Same here. The 0bama’s are nothing. They simply exist as paracites and will feed off anything available.
The android Wookie should get a refund from her Human Correspondence School.
Circles? I thought it was row upon row facing east.
The Left would like to “cleanse” the Earth of patriotic Christian Americans. You can see what's in their hearts by watching the supposedly humorous 1010 Global WarmMongers blowing up schoolkids because they don't believe the man-made global warming/climate change/unicorn and centaur induced disruptification lies.
It seems she’s out of touch. Apparently she doesn’t know about the flies and rats. Those things are symbolic for unclean.
“It means all the world to us to know that there are prayer circles out there and people who are keeping the spirits clean around us,”
Perhaps she should try an enema.

Michelle Obama’s food purge “cleanse”
From Wikipedia:
"The word voodoo comes from the word vudu, the Dahomean spirit, an invisible mysterious force that can intervene in human affairs. The worship of spirits remains a vital part of the practices of voodoo in Louisiana. Followers of Louisiana voodoo believe in one God and multiple lesser but powerful spirits which preside over daily matters of life, such as the family, the sky, and judgment.
The core beliefs of Louisiana Voodoo include the recognition of one God who does not interfere in people's daily lives and spirits that preside over daily life. Spiritual forces, which can be kind or mischievous, shape daily life through and intercede in the lives of their followers. Connection with these spirits can be achieved through dance, music, singing, and the use of snakes, which represent Legba, Voodoo's "main spirit conduit to all others."[2] Unlike the Judeo-Christian image, the Voodoo serpent represents "healing knowledge and the connection between Heaven and Earth." Deceased ancestors can also intercede in the lives of Voodoo followers. The main focus of Louisiana Voodoo today is to serve others and influence the outcome of life events through the connection with nature, spirits, and ancestors. True rituals are held "behind closed doors" as a showy ritual would be considered disrespectful to the spirits. Voodoo methods include readings, spiritual baths, specially devised diets, prayer, and personal ceremony. Voodoo is often used to cure anxiety, addictions, depression, loneliness, and other ailments. It seeks to help the hungry, the poor, and the sick as Marie Laveau once did. "
Prayer circles are "Keeping them clean"? LOL.
While "mom" is out..."dad" is busy entertaining...LOL.

...”who are keeping the spirits clean around us”
I don’t know what that means.
No barf alert!?
You owe me a keyboard, a coffee cup and my dog is pi$$ed at you.
Do she and her husband even believe in 'unclean spirits', in the Christian sense?
