The severed head of a Mexican investigator involved in the Falcon Reservoir case was delivered to the Mexican army today, according to state Rep. Aaron Peña, D-Edinburg.
Peña reported via Twitter that he had confirmed the information with Zapata County Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez, whose office is heading the U.S. investigation into the Sept. 30 disappearance of David Michael Hartley.
The 30-year-old McAllen man is widely believed dead after what his wife, Tiffany Young-Hartley, has described as an attack by cartel "pirates" on the Mexican side of the binational waterway.

I'm leaning toward boyfriend on the side. She may not have wanted to move to Colorado. In one of her recent interviews though she was sniffing her nose as if she did a line of coke. Living in Mexico she may have gotten into it. They need to give her a polygraph and a drug test. Her interviews are evasive and flip-floppy, as if she knows who the murderer is.

She has said that after her husband was shot, a boat approached her and a gunman aimed a gun at her and then left. She was asked today to describe the gunmen but couldn't.
"Looking at the barrel of the gun is all I saw," she said on NBC. "I was pretty focused there. I couldn't tell you what they look like. They were within the length of my Jet Ski of me, which is about 10 feet."
She said she doesn't know why she was spared.

I don't know that it's that difficult to understand. You have a couple of people (and obvious Anglos no less) on jet skis taking photos close to a drop site/transshipment area, occupied by ruthless criminals with guns.
I know the area, and I don't have a problem believing the wife's story. It's always been the wild West down there, but much, much worse lately.
Maybe they did want the jet skis.
