This is going to sound funny to many FReepers, but it’s true. Some leftists think that they can eventually “harness” the Tea Party and take it over. No, really, they do. But, of course, they are kidding themselves.
They believe the Tea Party is a vehicle through which they can inject more socialism into the GOP. But GOP primary candidates who have the slightest odor of socialism are precisely those who the Tea Party has ousted. Consider Crist in Florida, Castle in Delaware, Specter in Pennsylvania, all ousted from any hope of serving, or continuing to serve in the U.S. Senate by the Tea Party.
Cornell West, a misguided socialist, said on Bill Maher’s rotten show last week that he plans to harness the Tea Party eventually. Do you believe that? The leftists are planning on making the Tea Party part of their Maoist “revolution”! HA!
Aside from the fact that the Tea Party abhors communism and even vague notions of collectivism are hateful to the Tea Party, the folks who are standing up right and who are going to throw a whole bunch of socialists out of Congress in less than a month are not some ignorant peasant class. The Tea Party is made up of the most well-informed patriots in our country.
Mark these words. Communism, socialism, leftistm, collectivism, whatever you want to call it, the Tea Party rejects it forever and will put an end to it in this country finally.

I don’t think they know better. They are following their old playbook.
From the February 1917 ousting of the Czar in Moscow followed by Lenin’s October 1917 takeover, to the COMINTERN attempting to turn the Kuomingtang against Chaing Kia-Shek in China (the commies escaped under Mao in the “long march” only to return and take over China after WWII), to Ho Chi Mihn taking over the nationalist movement in Vietnam and then killing all the nationalists, it’s what the commies do.
They consider the Tea Party as another “nationalist movement” for lack of a better term. As such, they think that it can be co-opted and taken over just as the evil commies have done time and time again over the last 93 years. Oh, and be sure, each time they’ve done it, they’ve killed off all of those in the movement, once it gets power, who don’t bow down to their Marxist ways, to their Marxist dictator. Thousands were slaughtered, murder became spectacle.
But they are the ones who are stupid. The Tea Party is only going to reject and flush down their Marxist, leftist, collectivist, commmunist, socialist crap. In this country, under our Constitution, we don’t “do” communism.
See, we have a strategy against communism. It works every time we’ve tried it. This strategy was given to us by our President Ronald Reagan. In the battle against the commies, “We win, they lose!”

Heard the end of Cantor/Wasserwoman. Eric Cantor didn’t do that bad. Had he interrupted her he would have looked bad. So he continued to talk. Wasserwoman must be in a safe district, she’s so off base.
It appears Wasserwoman is on the DLC so she may be one of those writing their talking points. Totally delusional and ignoring reality or the truth. Spin-spin-spin.....

With all due respect, kabar (and I do have a lot of respect for you - always enjoy all of your thoughtful posts), I don’t think it’s just ‘this election cycle’, IMHO that’s what they do every election cycle, along with playing the race card (they played it early this year and now its worn out), scaring seniors, and class warfare, etc. I suspect they may add some new items to their playbook for the 2012 election as the playbook they’ve been using for years is getting worn out and more and more of the voting public is on to them.

Oh how the liberal Monarchy hates the common man. First they stopped answering their phones when they were ramming No Stimulus, Bailouts, Cap and Tax and Deathcare as well as their takeovers the American people hated. Then they refused to have townhalls so they wouldn’t be seen ignoring the will of the people. Finally they were mocking and calling the Tea Party all sorts of vile and distorting names to make sure the ordinary people wouldn’t listen to them in their usual thug tactics. Now you notice they won’t debate their challengers for fear they will get asked a question about their records so they are trying to coast to the finish line, especially in Soviet States like Oregon, KKKaliforneeeea and Washingtax.
These career politicians who are part of the corrupt Inner Circle of DC have no interest in letting the people of their states and districts know what they have done or plan to do. They do not want their challengers to have a stage to actually give transparency to their corrupt ways they want to paint a picture w/the same old 30 sec commercial. We no longer have an election but the professionals have made an electronic image which is about as real as Nazi Pelosi’s face. We need to insist on as many debates as possible from now on even though they are more staged than a Christmas play, they give a view inside a politician far better than a cliché and America demands it. We are living in trying times while we are selling snake oil salesmen w/bumper sticker politics, it is time to move back to the old way of electing our people on porches and city squares debating every issue at length.
Any politician who refuses to debate his challenger and is trying to play prevent defense to get elected needs to be thrown out on the street. Let them find out what it is like to be unemployed like the people they are supposed to represent. If they can’t shake the hand of an unemployed person as well as answer their questions of how to make more jobs in a failing economy, they need pink slipped. In times like now Americans are tired of politics as usual and have been ignored for far too long to have it continue. It is time to open the doors and windows of gummit and let the light shine in to air it out. Now is not the time to close them but to open every nook and cranny to find out who is willing to take the challenge of shrinking gummit and expanding Freedom. It is time to show your communities, states, Country and world how Freedom works so let’s demand these politicians really earn our votes by talking and letting us know what they do and think.
Challengers you have to demand they debate you and let the truth carry the day. The other day during the Dudley debate, Taxhiker axed if he would debate him this Friday and Chris turned him down. He should have said yes, any time any place; it is too important to pass an opportunity to let the people know who you are. We Conservatives are the people are hungry to hear from, after decades of liberal brainwashing so stand loud and proud of who you are and what our positions are. We need to take our message to the people who will respond if you give them a chance. This is why the libs are hiding they are terrified of the truth and what will happen when it is spoken. Get out there and give it a chance as the Tea Party sets sail for a big November to Remember.
There is nothing Conservatives have to be afraid of in a debate. Sure the DNC cheerleaders in the Establishmedia will attempt to paint you in a corner but if you stick to your three points of less Gummit, taxes and regs people will understand that is the direction out of this mess. There is no way the Tax and Spendocrats can mention any of those and will have to defend more spending from already empty troughs. Now is the time to play offense while they are playing Prevent, to get through this election. The only thing Prevent has ever done is prevent you from winning. Now is our chance to make that happen. Challenge them to a debate every chance you get even if you have to crash their event to do it. People are sick of old style campaigns as well as career politicians. This is your opportunity to point them out as both. This is who Americans are and what Americans love to watch and listen to people state their views and for Conservatives it gives you a chance to speak into the darkness of ignorance of our core principles.
We have 3 weeks so now is the time and this is the place. We have to support our candidates and take the argument to the liberals. We have the message and we need to shout it loud and proud. We have to tell America there is no Global Warming so all of these Green Campaigns are nothing more than a sells gimmick to get crooks elected who will steal your livelihood. This argument alone can destroy half of their campaign and then go after their tax and spend big govt takeovers. In 10 mins you can completely destroy everything they have to offer to the people they are trying to fool. We have the better ideas as well as the truth so this is our opportunity to shout it loud and proud so on Nov 3 we will be a smaller and freer Country holding Lady Liberty’s Torch High for all the World to Follow.
