Parents: Dying Girl, 7, Taunted by Neighbors in Trenton

TRENTON, Mich. - Her family says 7-year-old Kathleen Edward is in the final stages of a degenerative brain disorder diagnosed as Huntington's Disease - the same disease which killed her mother, Laura, when she was only 24.
A neighbor who is feuding with the family admitted to posting grim depictions of Laura and Kathleen on Facebook, and also has a coffin hitched to a pick-up truck in front of the house - which the neighbor says is for a halloween decoration.
One photo depicts Laura in the arms of the grim reaper, while the other features Kathleen's face above a set of crossbones.
Police responded to the public feud Thursday, but no arrests were made.
A rally for Kathleen Edward has been planned for Saturday, Oct. 23 from 3 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Haas Park in Trenton.
The invitation reads: She has been tormented by sadistic neighbors. Please come and join us in showing Kathleen there are good people that care.

My bullied daughter was out in a heartbeat.
Don’t worry, there will be Freepers here soon enough who will claim that this 7 year old needs to man up and just deal with it.

There might be a perfectly plausible reason these folks aren’t horrible human beings. I just can’t think of one.

She and her husband are in for a really rude awakening.
Their address and phone number were posted in the comments and on a site that people were warned not to go to. I’m not going but I’m sure that many others are.
People in Detroit are looking for an excuse to mess someone up.

I wonder if it is the sign of the times. People getting more and more nasty as part of being really hateful ! It is funny, it is mostly liberal people that are really nasty!

I mean, anybody who follows my stuff for any length of time knows I’m far from averse to macabre humor, but there’s macabre humor and there’s stuff you have to know you’re going to hell for. Going after a grade-school kid with Huntington’s strikes me more as the latter.
It’s a result of godlessness which turns people over to their own depravity.
When my wife’s uncle was killed in the Korea War, the house was robbed during the memorial service. They stole all the Christmas presents, the same thing the Chinese did weeks earlier.
Just looking at her and listening to her; she is obviously nothing more than trailor park trash.
To this day, I can't stand to walk through a children's ward or hospital and see their faces. To hear their cries and look at the fear of the tests that await. 54 years and it still gets me.
To have it right outside her window is like Fred Phelps on steroids. It's sad to see such an attractive young woman as the neighbor so consumed with hate. No matter what the real or imagine slights were, the only one who will be destroyed by the hate is the hater. That child (and her mother) will surely find bliss, healing and comfort in the arms of a loving God and be carried there by a very loving Son.
Nothing anyone could do to the hateful neighbor will equal what awaits her, and nothing anyone can do for that sweet little girl will equal what awaits her. Prayers sent that God blesses that family from one who knows.

I’ll bet a Molotov cocktail would come close to what lies in her future.
Dear Heavenly Father - please bless that child and surround her with angels to protect her. Please prevent her neighbor from hurting her or any child again in the future.
I wouldn’t waste the bottle, rag or gasoline. Not worth it. Anyone that dead to all reason wouldn’t make the connection — trust me.
