NYT: The Soft Side (of Rahm Emanuel)
NYTimes ^ | October 4, 2010 | David Brooks

By now everyone has an image of Rahm Emanuel. He’s the profanity-spewing political street-fighter. He’s the guy who once sent a dead fish to a political opponent. This past week, “Saturday Night Live” spoofed him as an abrasive pit bull. “On Friday, the White House released Rahm Emanuel back into the wild,” Seth Meyers joked during “Weekend Update.”

This image doesn’t square with the guy I’ve covered for the past decade. I began interviewing Emanuel when he was in the House, while he was building the Democratic majority. Then when he moved to the Obama White House, I was one of the many people on his long, long call list. He’d call a few times a week. The calls lasted from 45 seconds to two minutes, enough time for him to tout some speech or policy initiative, answer a question and then be off.

Every conversation, short or long, was a headlong rush.

NYT: The Soft Side (of Rahm Emanuel)

Someone was going to have to front this meme, figures it would be the NYT.

It just goes to prove that everything from the Left is programming. It is because they say it is, and thinking about anything for yourself is disloyalty. See this lead pipe covered with blood and hair? It's a pillow. See this gun? It's an ice cream scoop. See these knives? They're colored pencils.

Now listen up: I'm gonna tellya about the soft side of Rahm Emanuel.

Unnerstand?

When written about a guy who accosts political opponents while naked in the shower at the Congressional gym, this headline is kiiiinda gross. :-)

There appears to be a real basic legitimate question of Rahm’s eligibility to run for Chicago mayor.

Yeah, and he appears to be taking it real seriously, doesn't he.

I have a classmate and close friend who is in the Whitehouse a couple times a month.

Says Rahm and one who will go unnamed refused to shake his hand at their first meeting.

Aw, come on and tell us who it is.

From the New York Daily News:

Rahm Emanuel's role as pointe man means new respect for boys & ballet

BY Joe Dziemianowicz
Monday, November 17th 2008

Belly up the barres, boys. It's a perfect time to take the leap and don those tights - or maybe that's vice versa.

With the flurry of attention for the ballet history of congressman Rahm Emanuel (President-elect Obama's pick for White House chief of staff), it's suddenly become a lot cooler to be a guy who knows his way around toeshoes, turnouts and tights.

Rahm Emmanuel's penchant for profanity and his swagger are obvioud compensations for short stature. (RE’s under 5 feet, 5 inches tall.)

Rahm reminds me of Rohm; Ernst Röhm that is, the sado-masochistic homosexual bootstomping enforcer of the National Socialist Party and Hitler's right hand man.

Similar profiles, dont you think?
