The National Rifle Association says it has endorsed Democratic Rep. Tim Walz in southern Minnesota's 1st District because he's a strong defender of the Second Amendment.
Walz is running for a third term against GOP challenger Randy Demmer and Independence Party candidate Steven Wilson.
The NRA's Political Victory Fund gives both Walz and Demmer A grades. But the pro-gun lobby says Walz gets the nod because of a number of his votes in support of gun rights.

“...Really, the only offense for the NRA is through the courts.”
My guess is that the gun owners will probably not be helped by Kagan on the SCOTUS. Kagan was voted onto the Court thanks in part to Sen. Goodwin, who was appointed by the NRA-endorsed Joe Manchin. JMHO-maybe time to think about the ‘bigger picture’ that everybody here keeps mentioning...

how can they compromise if they are not a conservative organization??? they have always claimed to be a one issue organization. they do a better job than any of the other 2nd amendment organizations either by design or serendipity, and nothing succeeds like success....
Tell me how that works out for ya.
not for nothing but you made my point for me....nothing in Obamacare restricts your right to keep and bear arms...I agree with you about Obamacare being heinous, but that is not the NRAs 1 issue premise
So, let them defend Gun Rights without conservatives and see how long they last.
The NRA endorses the same party that passed an un-Constitutional Heath Care bill, how long do they think their 2nd amendment rights are going to last under Democrats? Clueless.
Exactly correct!
the NRA has always been bipartisan....since the 19th century.
I believe most members are conservative, but the whole midwest, working class, union worker(read thug if you will, I do), is a strong component in the NRA and always has been...
...for good or ill that has always been that way and it gets the most results in Washington.
my advice to you is to join any organization you wish but remember which one gets the most results on the one issue(the NRA's stated goal).
