Now, there are those who proudly fly the Mexican or Pan-African or some other colors, and no one says boo, even though these colors represent ideologies that are currently divisive, arrogant and racist to the core. But such displays are not offensive in what respect?
I am not aware of any clause in the Constitution that gives me a right not to be offended. So I say, and have always said, that if you want to fly the confederate flag then you should go ahead and do so, and to hell with the person wanting to deny you that pleasure. And I say that as probably the most reviled Yankee on FR.

Just to clear up the confusion on the part of some people. There is a difference between the “Battle Flag” and the “Stars and Bars.” The latter was the official government flag of the CSA. The former was their “war flag” and naval flag:
