To find the reasons why we need high-speed rail, please visit my blog. We need to insist on HSR and defeat this attempt to shove rapid transit down our throats. Consider this: The United Nations Agenda 21 calls for permanently moving people from rural areas to cities. The U.N. wants nations to house people in controlled areas cities with condos above office buildings and people riding bikes to work, not driving on streets and highways, etc. Rapid transit enables that.

It is a way to strip people of their freedom. You go where big brother says, on his schedule, in his piece of transportation.
US economic policy has pushed this for decades. Since about the time the UN thought it up.
public transportation is the power to control movement.
only travel along permitted courses is allowed. Only residences and work areas at permitted stations.
Free market Libertarians suffer paranoid delusions from the “medical” marijuana they smoke.
If the UN told you not to put pencils in your nose and go out in the street wearing only your underwear would you do it just to spite them?
You need to be more easily controlled.
I know it.. darn, I should give up my cars and take the poo choo train everywhere.
When you aren’t allowed to drive or cannot afford the $8/gal gas, or your rural property is confiscated, or your job closes down where will you go?
You still wearin’ your Dickies train engineer overalls?
Seriously, was it a train hittin’ a car, or a car hittin’ a train?
Stop takin’ the meds and start eating right...
this has to stop, dude, its sad...
Live free or die.
Just one derailment or even a small malfunction and you could shut down an entire city’s or region’s transportation for days, weeks, or even months; if is to reliant on something like rail. Of course, Big Brother doesn’t mind that, just another excuse for them to come in and control more.
Shame on you for gettin willie all revved up... poor guy has a train fetish ( and I do Not want to know what it entails...)
Quit poking the lions....(remember the old cartoon? they kept telling the dumbass, and at the end of the toon, all that was left was the stick.........)
Do you want that on your mind for the rest of your life? Do you?
Control ain’t just light bulbs. The progressives are progressing. Think about John Holdren’s comments on mandating what appliances Americans will be “allowed” to buy and apply it to where Americans will be “allowed” to go.
When I go camping, I may drive for hours on little two tracks without seeing a living soul and I take a thousand lbs of gear with me. The choo choo marxists aren’t going to like that much.
US economic policy has pushed this for decades. Since about the time the UN thought it up. What economic policy would that be? I ask because it has been remarkably ineffective. Except for a few childless Yuppies, the flow has been entirely outward from cities. |

Which one is it this time, Willie?
1 - Race Card. If you dont agree with his imbecile AMTRAK boondoggles youre an antiurban racist.
2 - Shut up, Noob! Ive seen him use this within the last four months against a FReeper with a 2003 sign up date.
3 - Ive posted more articles than you! This is reminiscent of the elephant arguing it is more intelligent than the dolphin because it produces a higher volume of excrement. To be fair, Willie certainly posts a lot of crap.
4 - The Teresa Heinz Kerry. When John Kerry ran for the presidency, Teresa argued that if you disagreed with her husbands health care plan you were stupid. Similarly, Willie says youre stupid if you dont like railroad boondoggles.
5 - Baloney. Oddly enough, this is the closest thing Willie has to a coherent argument.
