Why would the young man expect privacy in a shared room?

• 1. He asked his roommate for privacy and the roommate agreed to give it to him.
• 2. There was no one present in the room other than his guest.
• 3. It is illegal to covertly video tape someone in their own home which is how his privacy was breached.

No one expects privacy in a shared room. What if the kid hadn’t taped him but came back to the room because he forgot something? It’s his room too. No privacy can be expected.
