A woman lies tied to the ground as a group of men gather round her, repeatedly throwing stones at her.

She appears to plead for help but despite her cries, they continue to rain stones down on her until she lies still.

Disturbing pictures today released to ABC news purport to show Taliban militants stoning a woman to death in north-west Pakistan.

MSNBC was reporting about the trial of some US military who are charged with murder and violating corpses.

Yet the trial of Nidal Hasan murdering a dozen people in cold blood at Ft. Hood gets no press nationally.

Can they think of anyone other than Muslim fanatics who would be busy stoning a woman to death? Of course we take their word that the stoners were Taliban militants. They might, for instance, have been AP photographers.

Just remember, all cultures are of equal value (except our own). Our Judeo/Christian culture is not superior to other cultures. We should not judge the values and practices of cultures not our own. We may even learn something from non-western cultures, many, of course are superior to ours. We should have tolerance and RESPECT for other cultures. When these cultures come to our country and impose their ways on us, we should show tolerance, acceptance and embrace diversity.
