The article was extremely accurate and hit to close to home. That’s why the White House responded to it so negatively — it NAILED Zero.
Flout the Bummer with the D’Souzaphone!
To be fair, I’d have to see the book to understand exactly how Dinesh sees Obama, Jr.’s transposition of his father’s “anti-colonialism” into the milieu of modern America. It can’t carry over literally, but maybe the Bummer is tilting at a windmill of the old colonializing powers as he fancies them to exist now. This would also imply that Bummer is as insane as a man who claims he is Napoleon.
It really did nail him. An earlier author, an African woman, said something similar, but D’Souza has more damning tie-ins with Obama’s writings and other later influences. In addition, the earlier writer, Ms. Nkenga (I think), is not very well known and obviously wasn’t much of a threat to Bambi, but D’Souza is very well established nd people are paying attention to him.
The attack might only serve to further publicize the book.
