Libs say they think GWB was dumb but how about the fact that John Kerry couldn't beat him? What does that say about John Kerry? To hear them talk about it (and btw Bush had a higher GPA at Yale IIRC), Kerry was supposed to beat Bush by a landslide. What happened?

>>so people are influenced by a simple slogan

"YES WE CAN!"

he is right, the voters have been an uninformed electorate for years - that is why we have Obama and the other lefties.

However, I suspect the 2010 voters will be the best informed voters ever.

"Barney is prepared, as others are, to explain what we’re doing. I think when people hear the facts and they see what we’re doing, it frankly makes sense."

Rep.Frank, in my opinion, has yet to explain or apologize for his resistance to reining-in the housing bubble in 2006 as desired by the Bush'43 Administration. The fact that his former lover, Mr.Raines, made millions from Fannie Mae had nothing to do with it, I'm sure /sarc

As for Sen.Kerry, have you paid the Mass. Taxes on your brand new multi-million dollar foreign-built yacht yet? Does the miasma stink of the hypocrisy that you exude ever choke you?

Dude. If this doesn’t qualify as ‘lamentations of their women”, nothing does. It really doesn’t get any better than this.

what Obama and the Democrats did when the media gave them the keys to the car: He seized the title to the car, put Big Labor in the driver’s seat, and rode shotgun as the Democrats committed mass vehicular homicide — running over workers, dealers, bondholders, and anyone else who stood in the way.

“We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening,”

John Kerry has a point.

And, he and the democrats have been using that same exact statement and belief to use "simple slogans" and "untruths" and "spin" to keep the electorate happy and unthinking and clueless.

A dumb electorate is what the democrats have always counted on.

People who don't have the time to investigate what's fact or what's a lie, and people who can't be bothered with getting informed, will be the ones that fall easily for the slogans and the simple statements and the spin and the lies. The democrats perfected their means to get into power.

Kerry is accusing the opposition of doing what the democrats do.

If the electorate actually did spend attention to the issues, and if that electorate did dig deep into the issues, then the democrats would've been toast from the beginning and we probably wouldn't have progressives or liberals or socialists getting elected to government.

Actually, the American public grows more informed and interested day by day...that’s what his real problem is. He’s nervous, and angry that we our getting our information from the internet, FOX and each other. We now automatically discount much of what the establishment says.

The Murkowski/Castle/Bennett/Crist thing isn’t scaring the bleep out of only establishment Republicans...the tea party is a rejection of the elitist class. Gigolo John is a member and past president of that smarmy group.

Oh yes, the stupid little peasants need to shut up and get back in the fields. Our intellectual superiors in D.C. have work to do and simply cannot be bothered with the filthy masses.

This is the prevailing attitude of those in power, and it is why people are ready to cut all of them loose.

It is just infuriating that taxpayers have to pay these morons for the rest of their lives.

Listening tp my usual Saturday morning liberal talkradio show, it was apparent that this is to be one of the 'rats talking points--that the electorate is too "unsophisticated" or too ignorant to know what they are voting for. It came up twice in two different seminar calls.

My question is, how do they expect to woo voters by calling them stupid? Maybe they think the voter will decide to vote 'rat just to prove to himself he's not stupid. If so that is a very long shot as far as making any numerical difference. Most voters will feel insulted and react negatively, if at all.

‘John Kerry: Democrats’ woes stem from uninformed voters’

Actually it’s true. The ‘uninformed voters’ listened to and voted for the nonsense from the Democrats and turned the show over to them.

We’re about to change that.

Entertaining comment made at website:

“Evening at Chez Kerry:
(limo door slams, Long John enters, throws self down dejectedly on $27,000 chaise lounge made by aboriginals from free range ostriches that committed suicide in the wild)

Tereza: What’s the matter, Snookums?
Kerry: It’s those stupid voters! They are reading things on the internet and finding out what we are doing! Oh for the good old days when they had to get all their information from the NYT and Dan Rather!
Tereza: Here, have some Dom, that’ll cheer you up. And you know how I’ve wanted a little pied a terre in Chamonix? Why don’t we buzz over and see what Phillipe has to show us?
Kerry: No! You know how I hate mansion shopping, and can I even get a mention in the Huff Post about how I had the Gulfstream re-tooled to burn a custom mixture of Absolut and balsamic? No. Makes me want not even to jet around continuously any more. I’m saving the planet by myself and all they write about is that awful Scott Brown.
Tereza: Oh Honey, you’ll get over it. The pigeons in this state always send you back for another 6 years. And they better. I thought I was going to be First Lady. Our deal is no allowance for you unless you are at least Senator.
Kerry: Stupid voters, all worried about money. For no reason! Just do like I did and marry two heiresses, then they’ll have no worries. Jeez, what’s so hard about that? I pulled myself up by the bootstraps, you know. I was sleeping in the Camaro and dating Morgan Fairchild, and then when ol’ Heinzie bought the farm, a quick “I do” and then, presto, six mansions and a tax-free yacht. Easy.
Tereza: I thought we agreed not to talk about my, er, our, fortune that way.
Kerry: Sorry, you’re right. Stupid voters. If those idiot white people in Ohio had just done what the shop steward told them to, we’d be LOLing at 1600 right now, midway through my triumphant second term. Instead I’m here with Howie Carr making fun of me and the whole Congress about to get tossed. Stupid voters! Stupid voters!
Tereza: Honey, calm down, let’s go over to the Capital Grille and you can pretend to be bothered by all the attention. I know you love it so.
Kerry: Oh, ok, ok, have Jamal bring the limo around.

(fade out)”

This is how arrogant the left is. It is the exact opposite, the dems problems is a direct result that people know the truth now. More information will just make it worst for them.

Both algore and kerry were beaten by GWB and mentally neither one has been the same ever since. Bit more of an extreme case when it comes to algore, but kerry is a bit over the edge as well since 2004. An enduring legacy if there ever was one!

“We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening,” Kerry told reporters after touring the Boston Medical Center yesterday.
By simple slogans do you mean something like "Earth First", "global warming" or the plethora of other stupid ass environmental slogans?

I think (really?!) when people hear the facts and they see what we’re doing, it frankly makes sense.”
John, John, John! You and your fellow Democrats don't give out facts! Your own recent escapades into global warming show that you, in particular, are a bald faced liar so why in the world would anyone believe a single thing that vomits forth from your feckless, putrefied lips?

And people see all too well what you're doing despite the valiant attempts by the Left to hide their efforts. You need to wake up and smell the coffee. The game has fundamentally changed and you're way behind the eight ball.
