DOVER, Del. TV comedian Bill Maher is taking another jab at Republican Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell, who as a conservative Christian activist was a frequent guest on his "Politically Incorrect" show in the 1990s.
After O'Donnell won last week's GOP primary in Delaware with the help of tea party activists, Maher played a 1999 tape in which she said she had dabbled in witchcraft while in high school.
Maher threatened to show more old clips of O'Donnell unless she appeared on his current cable show, "Real Time with Bill Maher."
On Friday night, Maher made good on his threat, showing another clip from the 1990s in which O'Donnell challenged the theory of evolution

Yeah, it's really destroying her.
Sure....look at Congress (or any state legislature).
“Yawn.”
Me too.
A candidate’s knowledge of, opinion of or belief in the theory of evolution is irrelevant in comparison to their knowledge of, respect for and determination to uphold the Constitution as a guide in their probable voting habits.
The only thing that matters is how O’Donnell would vote compared to the others. By that criterion the choice is simple. All this other “stuff” is irrelevant.
Last comments: Just because there unanswered questions doesn’t invalidate the theory (if it pleases you). The scientific method requires acceptance of new information and adjustment of formerly held views as necessary; one hopes resulting in a closer approach to the truth. As far as the mechanism for Natural Selection is concerned, my understanding is that it is largely survival of the fittest and chance mutation.
When I go to bed at night, which is usually pretty late, I turn on either HGTV or an old movie. I used to love the forensic shows, but our cable took that channel off!
It really doesn’t matter, because I’m usually asleep within a few minutes, anyway.
A theory explains the facts, and allows you to predict facts.
Another “body” is thrown out. Like I said, next time we need to vet our candidate and if we find she was the token Christian/Conservative on a liberals show, picked by said liberal - walk away.
Maher didn't pick her because he thought her an intelligent and reasonable spokesman for Christianity and Conservative-ism.
Bill Maher isn’t running for public office. Who nails him for what doesn’t pull O’Donnell out of the hole she has, and continues to dig.
Probably true, but that doesn't negate evolution taking place.
Why?
Think about it ~ everything "evolved" that was meaningful 600 million years ago (in just a few million years) and then nothing new since?
You know it’s a weak attack when they don’t put the actual details in the headline, the way they did with the witchcraft snip.
Darwin has been forced down everyone’s throats by Darwinist politicians and activist judges, while the Bible has been thrown out of our schools. But it is only a theory, and as a theory it has grown increasingly less convincing over the years as new facts have come out.
Darwin, Marx, and Freud. Darwin has persisted longest, but undeservedly. He will go, too, as his brainwashers gradually lose influence.
As a Catholic, I have nothing against Evolution as such. But as someone who majored in physics and has an interest in science, I find the General Theory of Evolution by pure chance—as opposed to small-scale intraspecies evolution—simply unconvincing.
Why would I care what an unfunny PETA board member, anti second amendment, home-schooling should be outlawed kinda guy thinks?
I know for a fact that I can look back at things that I said and thought back in the 1990’s and shake my head. Same thing about the ‘80’s when I was 18. It’s called maturing.
I agree fully.
Andrew Bretbart was on Maher last nite and kicked ass.
I know why. Anyone who believes the Bible to be true isn’t fit for public office or even to have children. They are barely fit to breathe the same air that we higher life forms breathe. The religion of evolution must not be challenged! We will allow no dissenters to our views to make their opinions known in the Senate on things like the Constitution of the United States. Nevermind that the Constitution refers to our Creator. s/
