Obama: Ahmadinejad was 'hateful'

NEW YORK – President Barack Obama condemned Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s speech Thursday at the United Nations, in which Ahmadinejad blamed the United States for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, calling it “offensive” and “hateful.”

“And particularly for him to make the statement here in Manhattan, just a little north of Ground Zero, where families lost their loved ones, people of all faiths, all ethnicities who see this as the seminal tragedy of this generation, for him to make a statement like that was inexcusable,” Obama said in an interview Friday morning.

"And it stands in contrast with the response of the Iranian people when 9/11 happened, when there were candlelight vigils and I think a natural sense of shared humanity and sympathy was expressed within Iran," he said. "And it just shows once again sort of the difference between how the Iranian leadership and this regime operates and how I think the vast majority of the Iranian people who are respectful and thoughtful think about these issues."

Obama sat for an interview with BBC Persian, which has a large television and radio audience in the Middle East, in hopes he can get his message out to the Iranian people while in New York for the United Nations General Assembly.

Hateful statements don’t compare to a hateful mosque being built in the shadow of Ground Zero.

Don't cry about it, Barry.

Maybe he should be sent to sensitivity training.

I know!

Excuse my language, but does this guy have any balls in those mommy jeans?

The people of E. Europe had a Reagan , Thatcher, and JP2 backing them up.

The people of Iran have a street punk with a personality cult.

Boo hoo. Don’t invite him to your next birthday party, Barry, unless he promises not to pull your hair.

We have a complete moron as president.

My goodness! The man pays the families of terrorists who kill themselves in order to take innocents with them. He’s building nuclear weapons to commit mass murder. He dreams of taking over the world. But what riles Obama up? “Hateful” words.

Long overdue for Obama to use that satellite based anti-personnel weapon against Ahmadinejad. Just zap him from space.

Ahmadinejad: Yeah, I’ll do it...

Obama: You have to do it because I have to respond and say it’s “hateful.” I have to come across more American like, stronger, more to the middle. November is coming...

Ahmadinejad: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but you got to go soft on me about my nukes. Stall and get Hillary out of my hair.

Obama: OK, we have a deal.

SPOT ON!

He belongs in an asylum.

What happened? Did Ahmadinejad fail to respond to Imam Obama’s bow?

Did Obama just have a millisecond of a man moment?.... no, that can’t be, he must be on his period.

Obama also says that the President of Iran's speech was "offensive" and "hateful".

Mr. Obama's statement above points out that the majority of the Iranian people's feelings on these issues is in contrast to how the Iranian leadership and this regime operates. This stands out as being important to Obama so that we Americans won't feel wrong-headed about the Iranian people as a whole.

Seems to me that Obama is saying that it is what the majority of the people think, that is the important issue here.

So, why is it Mr. Obama, that you think the opinions and feelings of the Iranian people are to be accepted as more important than what their President dictates, but you think that what YOU dictate to the American people should be numbly accepted as more important than what the majority of the American people think and feel about issues!

Hypocrit to the max!
