I think about a dozen GOPers will step up, so I’m not sure that’s her best line. Still, I think she’s our best possible candidate.

The line was cyo stuff. There's no comittal there. That being said, I like Palin, but I bet I can think of five people who I'd probably vote for ahead of her. Starting with Michelle Bachman or Bobby Jindal. And I am an across the board conservative. That does not bode well for the former half term governer.

Again, I wish her the best, and I will be happy to vote for her if she manages to get the nomination.

Nah, many voters have more respect for the leadership AND executive ability that Palin has demonstrated.

Leaving the governorship 18 months early was the best thing, given all the circumstances, that she could do for the state and the country. Jindal is a bright young guy, but he doesn’t fit the strict definition of natural born, he’s too young, and he has minimal charisma. Bachmann is great, but neither likely nationally electable nor executive-experienced like Palin. Palin is a once-in-a-demonstration gem, even though, being human, she’s not perfect.
