I believe that she continued to wear the scarf while she was still in the Middle East. She had a press conference in New York yesterday and she was not wearing the scarf.

Don't forget the old expression, "for every pot there is a cover". She is engaged to Shane Bauer, one of the still imprisoned hikers.
