Her reply should be, "Yes, I did some foolish things when I was young. Anyone who will not admit to the same probably hasn't grown up yet. It's what you do and say after you grow up that's the important thing.

And I wish those who want to convince you that I'm not fit to represent Delaware would focus on the issues that are important to the people instead of what I said and did when I was seventeen. Unfortunately, they realize when it comes right down to it, my positions on the important issues facing our country resonate with the people who love America and are angry that this current crop of politicians in Washington seem to be working against their interests."

yeah that’d be a pretty good response, maybe throw in a line about not being a marxist as well for good measure.

Excellent response—Seriously. I think you should send this to her; I am not sure her PR folks know where the campaign is headed.

Thank you for your post it is well stated...

I am not well informed about O'Donnell, only know what I have heard about her in the past week. If I understand the story line correctly she has admitted to have “dabbled in witchcraft”. The admission came sometime in the 1990’s while on a tv show with Bill Mahr so we must conclude that the “dabbling” must have happened prior to that. We also must reason about why she was invited to be on the show...my thinking would be that she had taken a strong stand on an issue (probably sexual purity) that Bill wanted to make fun of. If I understand the article correctly she admits to hanging out with some witches, going to a movie with one, and having a midnight “picnic” on a satanic altar...not realizing it as an altar at the time. This does not come across to me as somebody that has a lot of knowledge about witchcraft. One the the questions it also raises would be why did Bill not air that part of the show in the 1990’s??? Could it be because what is described could have been described about a lot of teens both then and now?

As a teen in the 1980’s I used to listen to some of the popular rock music...as I am sure a few on FR did as well but I do not listen to it now. Why, because I realized what was being “taught” in the music...Does anybody remember AC/DC (that's right, they are popular again)? I remember the songs “Hell's Bells” and “Highway to Hell” to start with. Remember Black Sabbath with such statements as “Satan could be God” (Circus, Dec.,1971,p.46) and “It's a satanic world” (Rolling Stone, Oct.28, 1971,p.41) or the fact that they were known to hold black masses before concerts which included an altar, nude person, and sprinkling of chicken blood. We could go on with Blue Oyster Cult, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Ozzy, Rush, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Meat Loaf, Motley Crew, Poison, etc...but I think we get the point.

The real issue here is...did O'Donnell change from being that person that “dabbled”...from what I have heard, it sounds like she has.

I would ask that the people that feel so inclined to cast stones, first look up John 8:7 and then Luke 6:42.

If we are looking for somebody to vote for that has nothing bad in their past we will end up with nobody running...Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God...

So again thank you.

God bless
