I am behind the guy. He could have been smarter about it. He should have told the kid to stop it. He should have got the parent’s name and phone number. He should have called them and asked them to make their kid stop. If the kid repeated the behavior, he should bust a cap on the parents.
I got a call from the Principal the day he got the letter with an offer of a meeting the next day. I showed up to find the Principal, the school counselor, and a representative from the District.
The told me all about their "zero tolerance" policy on bullying and fighting. Basically it was that if my kid defended himself from these creeps he'd get the same punishment they did for fighting.
I told them "Here's Clan Lurkers policy on fighting. If he's defending himself I want him to end the fight as quickly as possible. If that means he breaks an arm or a jaw or a neck then so be it. I didn't spend all that money on Tae Kwon Do lessons for him to get stomped on by a bunch of two bit thugs."
"And here's MY policy on your zero tolerance policy. If you throw my kid out for defending himself against thugs you allowed to bully my kid that lawyer I copied is going to take an awful lot of money out of your budget. Do we understand each other?"
The room got awfully quiet. Then the District Meat Puppet said: "We'll make sure this doesn't happen again Mr. Lurker. There's no need to get the Courts involved."
My son wasn't troubled again.

Wrong, I applaud is action
I guess you feel I should have fought the guy who attacked me. Perhaps so, as I conceded,
You did what you need to do. You want to make this personal? I fought off my attackers, different people react differently.
but I still think the coach should have interceded.
I don't understand
This was not an argument or dispute but an assault
I'm confused now. If you mean the kids assaulted his daughter, you're right. All he did was try to scare the little buggers.
“The father did NOT lost control.”

No? Then take this up with GB. He’s the one who said it. Post 104.

Your lame logic is compelling.
“Did you used to get your jollies molesting the special ed kids?”
Answer: No. In fact when you used to do it, I was revulsed.
Now. It’s your turn to issue a junior high insult back at me.
Feel free.
Then what did this mean -
>>Do you have the same thoughts concerning victims of violent rape?
If a whore gets drunk and goes partying in a bad part of town, guess what?
Please don't answer, I don't want to hear your perverted little ravings.
She's get a hangover?
You're kinda sick pup aren't you?
“Not your opinion”?
The please explain what you meant by this: “If a whore gets drunk and goes partying in a bad part of town, guess what?”
Maybe...but just as likely that his daughter will never forget the day her Dad stood up for her as Dads are supposed to do; and all the rest of the kids will silently ask themselves, why wouldn't my Dad stand up for me?
I can say this with some authority because I went to out-of-control schools like this; where bullies were never, ever stopped, the teachers and administrators, and bus drivers all looked the other way, and my parents never did anything other than tell me to tell the teacher, or try to be nice.
The schools are full of bullies like this, and kids who just try to survive without being killed, and parents and teachers who do nothing.
Any parent who stands up for their kid is going to be a hero in their eyes, and earn the undying love of his daughter. That's my 2 cents.
In the 50s, a Principal allowed my brother to be victimized and did nothing to help him so Dad did just as you said. He went to the Principal's office, confronted him and knocked him to the floor. I didn't get so much as a phone call from the police. I was amazed. Dad told me, "You have to be right and even then it might not turn out in your favor".
Hat Tip to Rightly Biased
Poor guy doesn’t know he’s a liberal. :)
I disagree. He was not a terrorist or criminal threatening children at random. He was a father sticking up for his kid. The not guilty children may have been a little scared but they got a valuable vicarious lesson of what can happen when you bully someone. There is always someone bigger or someone with an equalizer who will fight back. How else are kids going to learn this lesson? In my day, I saw enough fights between kids and spankings of kids at school that I learned a lot about how to treat people. Evil is allowed to run free nowadays. And the system seems to protect the evil doers. You can’t have justice without someone paying for their actions.
He shouldn’t but probably will as he threaten a child....I would like to sit on that jury....he would be walking home within an hour....
Please don’t answer, I don’t want to hear your perverted little ravings.

Then don’t ask. And don’t butt into a reply that was not directed to you. If you have a problem with what another poster said, take it up with them.
... I’d say the kids on that bus finally got “taught a lesson” ... finally we, the people, tax payers are getting a return on our investment. These kids won’t have to cram to remember this ... this “lesson” will stay with them for life — good!!!! Hire Mr. Jones to run the school !!!
Yep, should have disconnected the bus camera first.
You misunderstood me. I was responding to your comment that I took to be directed at the story I told of my experience. No problem.
He's not a liberal. I know plenty of liberals. While I disagree with their ideologies, none of them would make the comment that a rape victim deserves the assault.
At best, the poster is troll. It's best to ignore the scum.
