2008 gave America an incredibly charismatic candidate for President of the United States. Speech after speech showed a candidate with increasing momentum as primary race after primary race concluded. And then came the nomination, more speeches, culminating in an election night victory.
According to the person sitting across from me, those were incredibly exciting times, even for one who had been a participant with three previous presidential hopefuls. Barack Obama appeared to move from one city to the next effortlessly, gaining confidence and motivation with each campaign stop. He was remarkable to watch. He took the script, elevated it with his oration, left the crowds screaming for more, and then would do it all over again, time after time after time. On the campaign trail, Obama is a machine.

Also, he came from a very troubled childhood. Single mom, raised by grandparents, mom sleeping around with bearded revolutionaries, etc. Imagine the rage!
This baggage could be overcome, but Obama apparently has not overcome it. He is probably self medicating with alcohol.
When you’ve never had any responsibility in your life, when you’ve never held a job of any kind, never got up earlier than 11 am and your whole life has been built around bullsh!tting your way through it there is simply NO WAY you could ever do ANYTHING worth a damn and being president of the worlds only superpower and commander-in-chief of the largest and most lethal military in history is so far above your ability your only path, the only outcome to this is TOTAL FAILURE! I knew this sack ‘o’ crap wasn’t up to this job, no way in Hell! We’re in trouble folks, with a capital “T” and that rhymes with ‘’P’’ and that stands for Barack Obama, a complete LOSER!!
I pray for his salvation too. But my overarching prayer is that God has his way with him—along the lines of Nebuchadnezzar.

Does anyone besides me remember the look of shear terror on his face in the early days of His Reign? It was VERY disturbing to see, especially since all of our enemies could see it too.
But it was not always wedded bliss for the First Couple. A new book, Renegade, about Mr Obama’s unlikely run for the presidency, recounts a tense period in 2000 when the Obamas’ marriage was on the brink of collapse because of his restless political hunger and the family’s shattered finances.
“There was little conversation and even less romance,” wrote the Birmingham-born Mr Wolffe, who covered Obama’s campaign for Newsweek magazine. “She was angry at his selfishness and careerism; he thought she was cold and ungrateful.”
At the time, Mr Obama was stuck on the lowest step of the political ladder. As a mere state senator in Illinois, he had challenged a popular incumbent in a Democratic primary by running against Bobby Rush, a former Black Panther from Chicago. Mr Obama was trounced by a dismal 2-1 margin.
His wife was new to motherhood, at home with their first daughter Malia, just two years old at the time. “She hated the failed race for Congress in 2000, and their marriage was strained by the time their younger daughter, Sasha, was born. Politics seemed like a waste of time to Michelle,” the book says.
Mr Obama’s troubles were compounded when he discovered that he was not on the guest list for the 2000 Democratic National Convention that year, because he had annoyed party officials. With maxed out credit cards he took the cheapest flight to Los Angeles where he found himself excluded from the convention floor. That was a mere eight years ago.

My sentiments exactly. The first time I heard BO speak, I thought, the guy is a transparent con-artist and he has no chance. Then I watched the old media tabloids, homowood, and the nightly demrat machine alphabet networks start his promotional commercial and I knew we were in trouble. The stupid will buy anything if it is packaged right.
