Actually I suspect that the percentage of folks in Texas who support this is much higher than what they are reporting.

Yes, but they got this part dead wrong:

"The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution grants so-called birthright citizenship to babies born in this country regardless of the immigration status of their parents."

The 14th Amendment confers NO SUCH RIGHT to children born in the US to non-citizen parents, because they are not subject to US jurisdiction, but that of a foreign country.
