As I said on another thread:
Im not from Delaware and I dont have a dog in this fight, but I donated to ODonnell anyway.
I dont know much about her. She could be a raving loon who likes to stuff rice pudding up her nose while barking like a dog and hopping on a pogo stick.
I couldnt care less.
What I *do* care about is that my brothers and sisters in the state of Delaware voted for this woman. They said their peace and the Republican party crapped all over their choice. The party pulled funding from their own candidate because *they* didnt like the choice the people made. I trust that the people of Delaware know their candidates better than I or the wonks in Washington do.
For that reason alone I contributed to ODonnalls campaign and I hope to G-d she wins.
You madame know how to turn a phrase.
I think that a lot of people share your sentiment.
We’re fed up with being talked down to and told by those in power that they know what’s best for us. Then cramming it down our throats despite our protests like they tried to do with Castle.
Now they’re undermining the candidate? Screw ‘em. Go O’Donnell!
We aren't from Delaware either, but after what the Republican establishment did to her, I think she could use a thumbs up.
I tried to get on during Rush, but couldn't. I can only do $50 right now, but it's better than nothing. I'm going to wait another hour. We have a 56K dial up. If the site doesn't have easy access, we won't be able to get on.

Coons Leads, First State Could Decide Senate Control
Raleigh, N.C. There is no doubt Delaware Republicans picked the weakest candidate to match up against Democrat Chris Coons for U.S. Senate.
Coons enters the short general election contest with a 50-34 lead over Christine ODonnell. Had longtime Congressman Mike Castle won last night, he would have a 45-35 lead over Coons. Coons performs 26 points better against ODonnell than against Castle. Castle has been elected statewide 12 times, but ODonnell has lost bids for each of Delawares Senate seats by margins of 30 and 41 points, in stronger Democratic years 2006 and 2008.
I don’t live in Delaware, but I am delighted that ODonnell won the GOP senate primary. Her opponent was an all caps RINO and would have voted just the way the women weasels from Main vote in the senate. Better to lose a seat on bed rock GOP principles than let in a RINO who will dump on us year after year.
Amen! I contributed also.
I donated $25 at 9am this morning after seeing FOXNEWS. I am in NH. I did the same for Scott Brown in MA.
I care if she is a loon and so should you. We are talking about our country here not American Idol.
I praise you for what you did!
Why? She has gotten alot of attention (maybe how Sarah became the darling in 2008 because she was new and the media had someone to focus on.
Since Sarah was behind her, Sarah Palin can go to Delaware and campaign for Christine.
And if there happens to be big rallies for Christine (i.e., large numbers of people attend), then people will take note.
Today is a very positive day because the GOP establishment TODAY has had to eat some pretty tough crow and do a major backpedal...
But these are just my thoughts.
She is now at 99%.
Now if the NRSC's $42,000 is counted as part of this, it is a whopping 5.6% of the total (not even 10%).
Just could not resist the sarcasm and elation on how well Christine did today...
I’m sending her something tonight. . . and will make calls for her as well. Couldn’t be happier to do it. Finally, my donations are going to an idea rather than a failed republican party. I can’t use the words I’d like to, to express my disgust at Rove’s utter arrogance.
Since $1,000,000 is such a cool, round number, that means she has raised $860,000.
Pretty amazing since less than 24 hours ago, she was only trying to raise $350,000 and was only part of the way there...
