Under pressure from a barrage of bad midterm-election polls, President Obama has gone on the campaign trail to blame Pres. George W. Bush for all our economic problems, and to bash House Republican leader John Boehner as nothing more than a Bush retread.
In Fridays dreary news conference, Obama acknowledged that economic progress is painfully slow, and that voters may blame him for the economy. Yet he nonetheless continued to finger Bush for policies that cut taxes, especially for millionaires and billionaires, cut regulations for corporations and for special interests, and left everyone else pretty much fending for themselves.
Millionaires and billionaires has become Obamas favorite phrase as he calls for tax hikes on the wealthy and renews his attacks on Bush. In Cleveland last week, Obama actually blamed the Bush tax cuts for the financial meltdown and severe recession. Now thats a reach. A big reach.
While Mr. Bush made plenty of economic mistakes, his 2003 reductions of marginal tax rates led to more than 8 million new jobs in the next four and a half years. Under Bush, the unemployment rate dropped to 4.6 percent

Regarding John Boehner, Obama slammed the GOP leader eight times in Cleveland. He claimed no new policies from Mr. Boehner, saying the Republican leaders philosophy led to this mess in the first place: cut more taxes for millionaires and cut more rules for corporations.
Well, none of this is going to work come November 2.
Take a good look at the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC poll. It is very revealing on these points.

Please. Get your terminology straight.
That’s Imamobamanomics.
Your idiot liberal uncle knows more about basic economics than Obama. Because the average liberal is not quite an economics ignoramus as Obama. Close, but not quite.
When you can’t run on your record you got a problem.
“SSHHHHHHH” (let them keep it up). They are still clueless and don’t get it! The people dont care about Bush and Boehner, so they are wasting their energy in the wrong direction.
See #5, below (above).
“When you cant run on your record you got a problem.”
And now you know why the Marxists want the 2nd amendment repealed.
Not to mention that most people don’t know who Boehner is— especially on the Left
Most on the Left don’t know who the Vice President is.
I speak to investors, small business owners, and banks on a regular basis and they all say it's not just Obama's approach to economics and business...it's Obama himself that scares them.
He's taken the wrong side on EVERY issue. And despite the fact that we are fighting a war that's been declared on us, he has even taken sides with our enemy (in fact, most folks I speak with think he is one of the enemy)!
Until he is gone, America is just treading water (at best).
Boehner has been like a deer in the headlights, the President called him out by name, yet the only response is a timid settling for middle income tax cuts. They seem to have a easy target.
I heard Bob Schieffer go after Boehner last Sunday.
Schieffer accused him of smoking. Boehner gave some weak answer.
I was yelling at the TV,"say 'Yes I think it's the same brand Pres. Obama smokes' ".
But alas he bent over and took it.
Thanks Vinnie, kinda thought I’d be alone on that perception, then some flamer would tell me to go visit Boehner’s web site, no, Boehner’d better start recognizing his opportunities and maximizing them.
